SUNDAY EVENINGS IN THE SANCTUARY:
Our current series from II Corinthians concludes this week (February 10). The theme, for this final message, is Standing For The Truth and the text is found in II Corinthians 13:1-14. Next week, February 17, we will begin a new series of studies on Biblical Characters. The first will deal with Stephen, The Martyr. Others, to be included in the series, will be Barnabas, Mark, James, Titus and more. If you are not involved in a small group on Sunday evenings, I encourage you to join us. Communion is available for those who desire. Also, remember that we now have activities for children each Sunday evening.
WEDNESDAYS: Please be reminded that
the study groups will not meet this week (February 13). We will resume classes on February 20. At that time, we will be examining chapter 4 of Ephesians. We do invite you to be a part of these studies. There are two possible reasons why some people dont mind their own business; they have no business or they have no mind.

Last week in Childrens Church we learned about Gods Promises. We have all made a promise at one time or another, and most likely we did not keep our promise. Thankfully, God always keeps His promises! God promises many things to us in the Bible and He holds true to His word! In the story of Noah, He promised to never flood the world that way again and to remind us of His promise; He fills the sky with beautiful rainbows! I am so thankful that God keeps His promises, even when we cant! Genesis 9:8-17 Hannah

SCOTTS THOUGHTS
Worship in the style of David: For David, worship was a life lived in complete surrender to God and this lifestyle of praise was punctuated by gathering with others at the temple. Psalm 89:15 Blessed are those who have learned to acclaim you, who walk in the light of your presence, O Lord For David, worship was not about what God had to offer, it was about offering God all we are, just to be in His presence. Psalm 27:4 One thing I ask of the Lord, this is what I seek: that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to gaze upon the beauty of the Lord and to seek him in his temple. For David, Worship was public and evangelistic. Psalm 57:9 I will praise you, O Lord among the nations, I will sing of you among the peoples. David is well known for some pretty big mistakes, but scripture refers to David as a man after Gods own heart. As long as we are clothed in flesh, we will also fall short of Gods glory. The question remains, am I pursuing the heart of God? Am I living this life in such commitment to Jesus that my failings are the exception and not what defines me? Am I living out loud a life that proclaims the goodness of God to everyone around? That is a life of worship. That is a life of evangelism. That is a God-First Life.

WELCOME TO FIFTH AVENUE! At FACC, we focus on loving God, loving people, and turning the world upside down. We are happy you chose to worship with us today. We hope you return next week and bring your friends with you. If you would please take a few minutes to fill out a Silent Roll Call Card, located on the back of the pew, you can then place it in the offering plate as it is passed. Thank you. For more information about our great church, contact our minister, Brad Seevers at Brad@new-churches.org or call him at 740.550.9882. Have a great week and may God bless your life.
Craft Corner
There have been some requests for another Sashay ruffled scarf workshop. If you are interested, please contact Delores Payne at 740-438-0877.
Delores would like to make granny square afghans for the Foundation Shelters from yarn donated to the church. If you would like to help, you need a size G crochet hook. The yarn is in the library on the bottom shelf. Take a skein and make one or two squares. If you get tired of that color, bring the leftovers back and pick another color. When you finish your squares, please bring them back to the library. The granny square will be of seven rounds and one color. On March 2nd we will be holding a granny square workshop. There you can learn to make one or just join us to help out. There are instructions for making the sevenround solid-color granny square in the library by the return book basket.
Core Values...
Values central to the life, mission and vision of Fifth Avenue Church of Christ are:
Christ-Centered Worship
We make it a priority every Sunday to celebrate Jesus through our music. (Romans 11:36-12:1-2). We focus on Jesus through grace-based preaching and teaching & understand the Bible is our authority (2 Timothy 3:16).
Global Evangelism
We are constant to our founding call to worldwide evangelism, proclaiming to all that Jesus Christ is the Savior, Healer, and Soon-Coming King (Acts 20:27).
Discipleship
We do not want you to "get religion" here at Fifth Avenue Church of Christ in Lancaster. We are all about teaching you that Jesus seeks a daily relationship with Him through a life of obedience. In other words, we want to see the things you are taught actually change your lifestyle & your daily decisions.
Social Conscience
We place high value on the sanctity of human life, of Biblical marriage and morality, and we welcome ethnic diversity (Isaiah 56:7; Philippians 2:15-16).
