Campus Secretary, Indianapolis, Indiana, Premier High School, full time

Primary Purpose: To assist the Principal with daily operations and perform secretarial duties in an RES school Qualifications: Education/Certification One year certificate from college or technical school; or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience Special Knowledge/Skills/Experience Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Access and Excel Ability to learn customized computer programs such as Applidesk Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing with staff, students, and parents Ability to organize and correctly calculate claims for any meal program that is offered School office experience helpful but not required Major Responsibilities and Duties: 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. 6. 7. 8. 9. Assist parents in completing Enrollment forms and ensure Cumulative Record folders are completed according to state and school requirements Communicate effectively with Parents and Central Administration via email, telephone, fax and in person in a professional manner. Assist with reports for the school, faxes or email reports to Central administration in Lewisville. Ensure timesheets are completed daily and faxed to Central Administrative offices prior to each payday Gather and fax all new hire paperwork and insurance enrollment forms to Central Administration for all new employees Ensure curriculum order is compiled and faxed to Central Administration Complete PO for Central Administration approval so that school supplies may be ordered Maintain Student Attendance Records and fax these to the PEIMS coordinator Ensure appropriate enrollment forms are completed and faxed to the PEIMS coordinator in a timely manner

10. Tracks students who leave or withdraw from the school and ensure appropriate documentation of leaver codes 11. Greet visitors to school, determines nature of business, and direct visitors to destination

Talk with student encountering problems and resolve problems or direct student to teacher or principal Answer telephone to provide information, take message, or transfer calls Accept and deposit funds for lunches, school supplies, and student activities

Organize and manage the meal program to follow federal and state guidelines. Prepare the daily and monthly reports and email or fax reports to Central Administration Disburse funds, record financial transactions, and audit and balance student organization and other school fund accounts Maintain calendar of school events Compile transcripts for students
