These are completed storyboards. They are rough at the moment, but I now have enough in mind to keep going with the other elements of design.

These are my main character, environment and prop influence maps. I have gained a lot of influence from cartoon characters as I think that, because my story is based around a face-off between a human and a mouse, having the characters too realistic would look as good. I aim for them to be recognisable as humans, but changed enough that they arent too intimidating or uncanny. As far as environments go, I have pulled a lot of houses/manors from the Victorian era, mainly from the late 1800s. I like this era because of the elegance of the art a how there is a clear definition between the rich and poor, and this to me helped me to figure out what monetary status my secondary character had (rich), and using that helped me design the exterior and interior of his manor. The main props are going to be the mouse trap and the ancient vase that is going to smash towards the end of the film. The mouse trap is going to be a generic one as it is one that everyone is accustomed to seeing and within cartoons like Tom and Jerry are usually associated with comical effect. The vase is more difficult to design, as it is meant to be an artefact it can be from any point in time, however, the Victorian times were highly religious, I felt that having a religious artefact to be a good direction to go in.

This is really good, the script is very descriptive and I can really tell each scene apart.
