About the Time of the End, a body of men will be raised up who will turn their attention to the Prophecies, and insist upon their literal interpretation, in the midst of much clamor and opposition.

Daniels Prophecy of the Seventy Weeks

.thou art greatly beloved: therefore understand the matter, and consider the vision. Seventy weeks are determined upon thy people and upon thy holy city, to finish the transgression, and to make an end of sins, and to make reconciliation for iniquity, and to bring in everlasting righteousness, and to seal up the vision and prophecy, and to anoint the most Holy.
24

Know therefore and understand, that from the going forth of the commandment to restore and to build Jerusalem unto the Messiah the Prince shall be seven weeks, and threescore and two weeks: the street shall be built again, and the wall, even in troublous times.
25 26

And after threescore and two weeks shall Messiah be cut off,. --Daniel 9:23-26
(King James Version)

.Worship God! For it is the Spirit of prophecy who bears testimony to Jesus.

--Revelation 19:10

Recalling an Apocalyptic Year of 360 days in the Bible and Ancient Calendars:

If tradition may be trusted, Abraham preserved in his family the year of 360 days, which he had known in his Chaldean home. The month dates of the flood (150 days being specified as the interval between the seventeenth day of the second month, and the same day of the seventh month) appear to show that this form of year was the earliest known to our race. Sir Isaac Newton states, that all nations, before the just length of the solar year was known, reckoned months by the course of the moon, and years by the return of winter and summer, spring and autumn; and in making calendars for their festivals, they reckoned thirty days to a lunar month, and twelve lunar months to a year, taking the nearest round numbers, whence came the division of the elliptic into 360 degrees. Sir Robert Anderson, The Coming Prince (5th ed.; London, 1895) , reprint of the Tenth Edition, 1982, ISBN 0-8254-2115-2, page 68. Calculation with the 360-day year. The solution that is most plausible is one introduced by Anderson. He proposed that the length of the year should be calculated as 360 days. He called these 360-day years prophetic years. This makes good sense for several reasons. First, with modern astronomy one can reckon a year very precisely as being 365.24219879 days, or 365 days, 5 hours, 48 minutes, 45.975 seconds. However, in ancient times various systems were used. When one investigates the calendars of ancient India, Persia, Babylonia and Assyria, Egypt, Central and South America, and China it is interesting to notice that they uniformly had thirty-day months (a few had eighteen twenty-day months) making a total of 360 days for the year and they had various methods of intercalating days so that the year would come out correctly. -- Harold W. Hoehner, Chronological Aspects of the Life of Christ, Harold W. Hoehner (The Zondervan
Corporation, Grand Rapids, Michigan, 1977, (first printed 1975)), ISBN 0-310-26211-9, pages 135, 136.

I do not know what I may appear to the world, but to myself I seem to have been only like a boy playing on the sea-shore, and diverting myself in now and then finding a smoother pebble or a prettier shell than ordinary, whilst the great ocean of truth lay all undiscovered before me. Isaac Newton

It is clear from Nehemiah 1:1 and 2:1 that Nehemiah reckoned the years from the Persian king Artaxerxes from Tishri-toTishri. The strongest argument for the use of a Tishri-to-Tishri regnal year in Judah is that this method works, giving us a harmonious pattern of the regnal years and synchronisms. (Edwin R. Thele, The Mysterious Numbers of the Hebrew Kings (Grand Rapids, 1965, with a New Revised Edition in 1983, p. 53) 445 B.C. = -(445-1) CE = -444 CE, the Common Era 444 B.C. = -(444-1) CE =-443 CE From Daniel 9:25 (KJV): seven weeks, and threescore and two weeks: 7x7+(3x20+2)x7=7x7+62x7=49+434=483 years 483 lunar years of 354 days is about 468 solar years. (483 lunar years) (354 days/lunar year) (solar year/365.24219879 days) = 468 solar years (no remainder shown) 483 prophetic ancient calendar years of 360 days is about 476 solar years. This prophetic ancient calendar year is consistent with time in Genesis, Daniel, Revelation. 1 Kings 4:7 gives a year of 12 months (http://www.angelfire.com/pa2/passover/jewish-calendar-hebrew.html) (483 ancient years) (360 days/ancient year) (solar year/365.24219879 days) = 476 solar years (no remainder shown) -444 CE + 468 solar years = 24 CE = 24 A.D. -444 CE + 476 solar years = 32 CE = 32 A.D. -444 CE + 483 solar years = 39 CE = 39 A.D. -443 CE + 468 solar years = 25 CE = 25 A.D. -443 CE + 476 solar years = 33 CE = 33 A.D. -443 CE + 483 solar years = 40 CE = 40 A.D.

The Uncanny Predictive Mathematical Relation of Daniels Sixty-Nine Weeks to:

The Cut Off Prince

In the tradition of the interpretation of Christian Prophecy of Sir Isaac Newton, largely ignored specialized knowledge which is typically untaught, such as is becoming unavailable

He was cut off from the land of the living; for the transgression of my people He was stricken. --Isaiah 53:8 (NIV) shall Messiah be cut off. --Daniel 9:26 (King James Version)

Gods Grace in Daniel The prediction that the Anointed One will be cut off (Daniel 9:26) is no doubt a reference to Jesus atoning death. Through the grace of God, who directs and controls the course of history (4:25), his promises of preservation and ultimate restoration are as sure as the coming of the Messiah. Our Lord quotes Daniels prediction concerning the abomination that causes desolation (9:27; 11:31; 12:11; Mt 24:15). .The widely held view that the book of Daniel is largely fictional [political propaganda] rests mainly on the modern philosophical assumption that long-range predictive prophecy is impossible. Therefore all fulfilled predictions in Daniel, it is claimed, had to have been composed no earlier than the Maccabean period (second century B.C.), after the fulfillments had taken place. But objective evidence excludes this hypothesis.the prophecy concerning the coming of the Anointed One, the ruler, 483 years after the issuing of the decree to restore and rebuild Jerusalem (9:25) [Nehemiah 2:1], works out the time of Jesus ministry. Note on Luke 19:44 the Time of Gods coming to you. God came to the Jews in the person of Jesus the Messiah, but they failed to recognize him and rejected him (see Jn 1:10-11; cf. Lk 20:1316). if we follow the most likely chronology based on John. The well-known fact that John and the Synoptics (Matthew, Mark, Luke) agree that Jesus was crucified on a Friday, but disagree on how the day was related to the Passover, tells us something about Scriptures relation to matters of historical detail. The Gospels were not written just to convey biographical information about Jesus (crucified on 14 Nisan, AD 33, etc.) but that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that believing you may have life in his name (John 20.31) --Physicist John Polkinghorne, Reason and Reality, The Relationship between Science and Theology, 1991, page 64.

The historical Crucifixion of Jesus Christ corresponds to Daniel 9:26 when after seven sevens (weeks) and sixty-two sevens (weeks of years) (7x7+62x7=49+434=483 years) from about 445 B.C. [Nehemiah 2:1-5] Jesus appears as the openly declared Messiah, but is abruptly cut off (killed). To have Nisan later than Chislev in the same year may seem strange until one realizes that Nehemiah was using a Tishri-to-Tishri dating method rather than a Persian Nisanto-Nisan method. Nehemiah was following what was used by the kings of Judah earlier in their history. Hoehner, p. 127, referencing Edwin R. Thele, The Mysterious Numbers of the Hebrew Kings (Grand Rapids, 1965, pp. 28-30, 161). (Year dating accuracy +/-1 to ~3 years) Thus, Hoehner fine tunes the 445 B.C. date to 444 B.C.

a cycle of twelve lunar months (354.25 days) falls short of the solar year (365.25 days). It is obvious, therefore, that in any lunar-solar calendar there has to be a system of intercalation by which the shortage of more than eleven days can be adjusted. The Babylonians inserted an extra month every two or three years, whenever observation showed it to be needed, and this also became the method used by the Hebrews. After the return from the Babylonian exile the Hebrews continued to use a solar-lunar calendar. The exact methods of astronomical observation developed by the Babylonians, together with their system ofprognostication, enabled the Hebrews to define more exactly a schedule of intercalation, although this knowledge doubtless remained the professional secret of a select group of authorities. The priesthood meanwhile elaborated in increasing prescriptions for observing the religious festivals, many of which came into being during the postexilic era. Postbiblical Judaism worked out many of these features to minute detail, but it also saw many of them fall into disuse and eventual oblivion. However, Dr. Isaac Asimov in Asimovs Guide to the Bible, Volume One: The Old Testament , page 614, published in 1968, states: It may, therefore, be Onias III who is the Messiah that is cut off, although the date given in Daniel misses the actual date by sixtysix years. However, no one has been able to make the dates given in Daniels vision come out both significantly and accurately. Eliminating possibility and hope in Gods word, we cannot see the Truth, because we refuse to believe in the possibility of God, no matter how easy it is for children to understand. Luke 13:6-9 suggests a four-year ministry of Jesus implying the end in Nisan 14, 33 A.D., which in the Julian calendar is April 3, 33 A.D. Johnston M. Cheney & Stanley Ellisen, The Greatest Story, A Unique Blending of the Four Gospels, Questar Publishers, Inc., Sisters, Oregon, 1994, p. 276. Daniel 9:25 the going forth of the decree to restore and rebuild Jerusalem until Messiah the Prince refers to Nehemiah 2:1, from Nisan (March/April) 444 B.C. to Luke 19:28-40, the Triumphal Entry of Jesus as the Anointed One, the Messiah, on Nisan 10, March 30, 33 A.D. is 173,880 days = (62+7)x7 x 360 days referencing Robert Anderson, The Coming Prince (5th ed.; London, 1895)the duration of The Flood in Genesis 7:11 on the seventeenth day of the second monthGenesis 8:3,4 .At the end of the hundred and fifty days the water had gone down, and on the seventeenth day of the seventh month the ark came to rest on the mountains of Ararat. 150 days = 5 months. 30 days = 1 month. (12 months = 1 year.) 360 days = 1 apocalyptic year. One-half week (Daniel 9:27). Time, times, one-half time (Daniel 7:25, 12:7; Revelation 12:14). 1,260 Days (Revelation 12:6, 11:3). 42 Months (Revelation 11:2, 13:5). Thus, 42 months = 1,260 days = Time, times, one-half time = one-half week. Therefore, 1 month = 30 days, and 1 apocalyptic year = 360 days.

Daniels Prayer for His People is answered by the Angel Gabriels Message of the Seventy Weeks (490 years).

While I was speaking and praying, confessing my sin and the sin of my people Israel and making my request to the Lord my God for his holy hill while I was still in prayer. Gabriel, the man I had seen in the earlier vision, came to me in swift flight about the time of the evening sacrifice. He instructed me and said to me, Daniel, I have now come to give you insight and understanding. As soon as you began to pray, an answer was given, which I have come to tell you, for you are highly esteemed. Therefore, consider the message and understand the vision:
9

Seventy sevens are decreed for your people and your holy city to finish transgression, to put an end to sin, to atone for wickedness, to bring in everlasting righteousness, to seal up vision and prophecy and to anoint the most holy. Know and understand this: From the issuing of the decree to restore and rebuild Jerusalem until the Anointed One, the ruler comes, there will be seven sevens and sixty-two sevens. It will be rebuilt with streets and a trench, but in times of trouble. After the sixty-two sevens, the Anointed One will be cut off and have nothing --Daniel 9:20-26 (NIV)
But, Does It Come to Pass, or Is It an Unfulfilled Prophecy (as Isaiah 17:1, 14 for Damascus, Syria)? Indeed it came to pass for Jesus, the cut off Prince. While the description of events in the Bible comes from a pre-scientific world, the pursuit of truth in natural philosophy, the ideas of scientific experiment and hypothesis testing, was clearly developed following the test of the prophets (Deut 18:21, 22). Modern science is a result of this Biblical teaching and other ideas principally from Greek philosophy (Platonism) including Archimedes to Aristarchus, and reminiscent of the Pythagoreans: All Things Are Numbers. Mathematics begins from the study of time, attempting to account for a sequence of events such as planting and harvesting in seasons, days, months, and years.

in Observations upon the Prophecies, The prophecy of the seventy weeks in Daniel was read by Sir Isaac Newton, as it had been by many others before him, to prove that the coming of Christ had been foretold in the Old Testament. From Ezra [Nehemiah] to the death of Christ a period of four hundred ninety years had elapsed, equivalent to seventy weeks if each week were valued at seven years. As for the Second Coming, Newton cautiously avoided the error of the millenarians among his friends who had settled upon a date. This part of the Prophecy being therefore not yet fulfilled, I shall not attempt a particular interpretation of itNewton always remained firm by the principle that the truth of prophecy could be demonstrated only after it had been fulfilled, never before. While he permitted himself to foresee the rebuilding of JerusalemIt may perhaps come forth not from the Jews themselves, but from some other kingdom friendly to them, and precede their return from captivity and give occasion to it.he drew a curtain over the epoch and circumstances of the event. I heard, but I did not understand. So I asked, My lord, what will the outcome of all this be? He replied, Go your way Daniel, because the words are closed up and sealed until the time of the end. --Daniel 12: 8, 9 (NIV)
We have plausibly made the dates given in Daniels Vision of the Seventy Weeks to come out both significantly and accurately in the apparent extraordinary coincidence of the time of the cut off prince, Jesus Christ, wherein rare data evidence has not been ignored. Surprisingly, we must be prepared for the seemingly impossible, like David slaying Goliath (1 Samuel 17), inspiring myth happens? Incredible! For God is Love (1 John 4).; this study by Steven Carpenter, P.E., M.S. Physics, B.S. Electrical Engineering.
