University Student Personal Possessions Insurance

Anything can happen while you are away at university, from lost door keys to a stolen computer or mobile phone.

SFS University Insurance helps to ease the financial burden that these incidents may cause by covering student personal possessions both on and off campus.

Overview

A

comprehensive, all risks annual policy covering all your possessions in your room

at

college or in rented accommodation; at your permanent home address; on the

journey to and from college in a train or car; plus those things that you would normally carry around with you. You are insured against them being damaged in a fire, flood, or other natural calamity, or if they are accidentally damaged or stolen.

How much am I insured for?

We believe that £3,000 should cover most students. However if you have any individual items valued at over £500 you must specify them on the application form. These might include expensive sports or musical kit, a top-end ipod or other music system, or a bike (for a small additional premium). Although the policy does cover one laptop and one mobile phone, again you must specify them on the application form. If you don't we cannot cover them.
