Exprim : 1. Aciuni permanente, care se pot repeta, frecvente, obiceiuri : They play football every day. 2. Adevruri generale : Water freezes at 00C. 3. Programe/orare oficiale (teatru, tren, avion, etc.): The train leaves at 7:00.

STRUCTUR : 1.Afirmativ : S + VB* VB +S/ES (III sg : HE, SHE, IT) ES la vb terminate n : sh I wash He washes ch I catch He catches ss I guess He guesses o I go he goes consoan + y I hurry He hurries 2. Negativ : S+ DO/DOES*(III sg) NOT +VB *DO/DOES auxiliar pentru prezentul simplu. Nu se traduce, e doar un indicator. I get up I do not (dont) get up He gets up He does not (doesnt) get up 3. Interogativ : DO/DOES (III sg)+SB +VB Do you like school ?

Does he like school ? Obs: Folosirea lui DOES anuleaz terminaia S/ES a verbului. Expresii indicator (nsoesc prezentul simplu ) Adverbe de frecven : always, never, often, seldom, rarely, sometimes, usually, regularly, occasionally He usually plays football with his friends. DAR He is usually late at school. Expresii : every day/week/month/year, on Monday, after school.

Present Continuous Tense (continuous, happening)

Exprim : 1. Aciuni care au loc n momentul vorbirii (A)sau n preajma acestuia (B)
Peter is reading a book now (A) My friend is preparing for his exams.(B) 2. Aciuni temporare His father is working in Rome this month. 3. Planuri personale fixe She is going to Paris on Saturday.

STRUCTUR : 1.Afirmativ : S + TO BE *(pres simple)+ VB+ing *TO BE auxiliar al tuturor timpurilor cu denumirea de continuu. Nu se traduce in acest caz! He is reading a newspaper now. I am watching a film. They are cooking a pizza, right now. 2. Negativ : S + TO BE (pres simple)+ NOT+ VB+ing

He is not (isnt)reading a newspaper, now. I am not (Im not) watching a film. They are not (arent) cooking a pizza, right now. 3. Interogativ : Inversiunea aux cu subiectul Is he reading a newspaper ? Are you watching a film? Are they cooking a pizza ? Cuvinte i expresii indicator : at the moment, at this moment, today, now, right now, Listen !, Look ! Verbe folosite numai la Simple Present (nu la Pres Cont).

Vb de stare: be, cost, fit, mean, suit Example: We are on holiday.

Vb care arat posesia: belong, have Example: Sam has a cat.

Vb de simt: feel, hear, see, smell, taste, touch Example: He feels the cold.

Vb de sentiment: hate, hope, like, love, prefer, regret, want, wish Example: Jane loves pizza.

Vb care arat actiuni mentale: believe, know, think, understand Example: I believe you. Aceste vb se pot folosi la Pres cont atunci cand implic o actiune voluntara. Ex. Pres Simple :It smells nice in here (Miroase bine aici simt fr sa fac vreun efort) Pres Cont: I am smelling the flower (Miros floarea ma plec, efort voluntar)
