The list price of an article is quoted as RS.580. However, the current price is quoted with discounts of 10% and 2%. What are the current price and the effective discount rate (the one discount rate that will yield the same price as both the two discount rates of 10% and 2%)? (Marks-4)

A loan of 10,000 is due in 11 months, with interest 10%. The creditor agreed to settle the debts on following conditions (i) First payment must be paid in 4 months that must be 40% of second payment. (ii) Second payment must be made on 9 months that is 200 more than the third and final payment. (iii) Final payment must be paid on expiry of the term. You are required to determine the final payment to discharge the debt. (Marks-8)
