does not talk about beer in the lyrics. However, in country music this is somewhat problematic, since many of the songs mention beer, whiskey or moonshine as part of the cultural references. For this project, because this is the song we choice, we will pretend that we either had a conversation or chose a different song.) Generate Two Column Think - Make two columns on a piece of paper / computer. Under one column write the things that you think are stereotypes of the South. Under the other column, write things you think are stereotypes of being Country. Are they the same or different? Why? Focus Students learn melody / verses through multiple listening experiences and lyrics researched. Observe / Encode Students figure out chord progression. The teacher can tell them all chords will be one of the following: I IV V vi After they try things out for 4 or 5 minutes, the teacher can provide the chords depending on time allowed.
