Oracle leads the industry with the most comprehensive and flexible support policy, our new Lifetime Support Policy. Simple and predictable, our support policy covers your entire technology stack, from database to middleware to applications an industry first, only from Oracle. With Oracle Support, you know up front and with certainty how long your Oracle products are supported. The new Lifetime Support Policy provides access to technical experts for as long as you license your Oracle products and consists of three support components: Premier Support, Extended Support, and Sustaining Support. It delivers maximum value by providing you with rights to future major product releases so you can take full advantage of technology and product enhancements. Your technology and your business keep moving forward together. Oracles Lifetime Support Policy also puts you in control of your upgrade strategy. Our flexible support policy options make it easier for you to plan and budget for Oracles exclusive product upgrades. Youll enjoy continued peace of mind knowing that no matter what product release youre running, well always be there to support your business. When its time to upgrade, youll have rights to future releases at no additional cost, so you can benefit from Oracles technology leadership and keep pace with the world of business. The Premier Support option, for the first time, provides a standard five-year support policy for Technology (Oracle Database and Oracle Fusion Middleware) and Applications products (Oracle E-Business Suite, PeopleSoft Enterprise, JD Edwards EnterpriseOne, and JD Edwards World). You can extend support for an additional three years with our Extended Support option for specific releases, or receive technical support with our Sustaining Support option. Oracles Lifetime Support Policy is another concrete example of how we deliver a Superior Ownership Experience.
Oracle Lifetime Support Policy: From Five Years to Forever Premier Support: Setting the industry standard
Our continued commitment to PeopleSoft and JD Edwards customers. Oracles Lifetime Support policy further extends Oracles support for PeopleSoft and JD Edwards applications. In fact, your support is more generous under the Oracle Lifetime Support Policy than it was previously. For currently supported PeopleSoft and JD Edwards releases, we are offering Premier Support for five years from their general availability date. This is an extension of an additional year over what we previously announced. For JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Xe and 8.0 customers, we are offering Premier Support through 2013. For PeopleSoft Enterprise 8.8, we are offering Extended Support through 2011. Oracle will also be offering a direct upgrade path from PeopleSoft Enterprise 8.8 to Project Fusion. For JD Edwards World customers, we will be offering a direct upgrade path from both JD Edwards World releases A7.3 and A8.1 to Project Fusion.
As an Oracle customer, you benefit from all of the advantages of Premier Support, our award-winning, next-generation support program. A harmonization of best practices from PeopleSoft and Oracle, Premier Support is our commitment to continuous support innovation. Our Lifetime Support Policy is one of the key features of Premier Support. Premier Support provides you with maintenance and support for your Oracle database, middleware, and applications for five years from their general availability date. Premier Support provides: Major product and technology releases Technical support Updates, fixes, and security alerts Tax, legal, and regulatory updates Upgrade scripts Certification with new third-party products/versions
Extended Support
Stay competitive and upgrade when you need to. Your technology future is supported with Oracles Extended Support. Our Extended Support provides an additional three years of support for specific Oracle releases for an additional fee. Extended Support provides: Major product and technology releases Technical Support Updates, fixes, and security alerts Tax, legal, and regulatory updates Upgrade scripts Extended Support does not include certification with new third-party products/versions.
Sustaining Support
Our Sustaining Support puts you in control of your upgrade strategy. For as long as you license your Oracle products, you will receive technical support, including access to our online support tools, knowledgebases and technical support experts. Sustaining Support provides: Major product and technology releases Technical Support Access to MetaLink/Customer Connection Pre-existing fixes for your solutions Sustaining Support does not include: New updates, fixes, and security alerts New tax, legal, and regulatory updates Certification with new third-party products/versions Certification with other Oracle products Customers may also obtain customer specific fixes at an additional fee.

SA 7.6 ANZ, HRMS 8.0 SP1, FMS 8.0 Brazil, FMS 8.0 Argentina, SA/CR 8.0, and HRMS 8.3 reflect extensions to their Premier Support periods. Enterprise releases 8.8, 8.9, and 9.0 will each have a direct path to the Fusion applications. Oracles PeopleTools program, which was purchased in conjunction with an application program release, will be supported for as long as such application program release is supported. For PeopleTools, as in the past, you will need to continue to apply minor upgrades to say current and under PremierSupport. * Tax, legal and regulatory updates not applicable for EPM releases.
Support retirement dates have already been announced for releases 11.0.3 and 11i 1 through 11i 6. Oracle E-Business release11i 10 will have a direct path to the Oracle Fusion Applications.

EnterpriseOne Xe and 8 will receive Premier Support until 2013. EnterpriseOne releases 8.11 and 8.12 will each have a direct path to the Oracle Fusion Applications. The support timeframes for the 8.11 release also includes release 8.11SP1.
World releases A7.3 and A8.1 will each have a direct path to the Oracle Fusion applications. Oracle will enhance and support the JD Edwards World product beyond 2013 on the IBM System i5. Premier support will be offered for specific releases as long as IBM supports the System i5 and it is a viable platform for our customers.
Support does not follow the new Lifetime Support Policy Release will have a direct upgrade path to Project Fusion

Support retirement dates have already been announced for Oracle 9i Application Server R2 9.0.2, Oracle 9i Application Server R2 9.0.3, Oracle Application Server 10g 9.0.4, and Oracle Application Server 10gR2. Oracle Fusion Middleware releases beginning with 11g will adopt the Lifetime Support Policy.
Support retirement dates have already been announced for Oracle Collaboration Suite release 9.0.

Enterprise Manager 9.2 release was bundled within the Oracle Database 9.2 release, therefore, the support timeframes for Enterprise Manager 9.2 release will follow the same support timeframes as the Oracle Database 9.2 release. Please see the Oracle Database release table for details.
