Ergonomics Power Point Presentation Participant Survey

ACTIVITY DESCRIPTION

Participants will watch a brief video that shows how simple ergonomic adjustments improve comfort and productivity of workers Participants will discuss (answer) questions about the improvements that they observed Participants will continue to watch a Power Point Presentation that defines ergonomics, and highlights

ergonomic standards in the classroom, and outlines possible injuries caused by non-ergonomically compliant environments. Participants will reflect, and list areas in their classroom that could be improved with proper ergonomics Participants will participate in a survey to assess overall understanding of the topic.
EXTENSION IDEA

Survey participants to find out if their schools have policies that govern proper ergonomics in the classroom. Have participants describe the ideal classroom with regard to the information that they now possess about proper ergonomics. Emphasize the importance of ergonomically sound work environment for school aged children. Highlight the possible injuries from neglecting ergonomics in the classroom. Manage time carefully to include live participation through discussions, and end-of-workshop evaluation.
