Maiocco called the Seventh Regular Meeting of the Medford City Council to order at 7:00 P.M., at the Howard F. Alden Memorial Auditorium, Medford City Hall.

ROLL CALL SALUTE TO THE FLAG RECORDS


The Tabled Records of February 5, 2013 were passed to Councillor Penta. The Records of February 12, 2013 were passed to Councillor Camuso. MOTIONS, ORDERS AND RESOLUTIONS 13-078- Offered by Councillor Caraviello Be It Resolved the Council Congratulates Trent Sullivan for winning the Massachusetts VFW speech competition with his Voice of Democracy Speech. Trent will be representing Massachusetts in Washington, DC on March 2nd against 51 other students from around the country.

13-079-Offered by Councilor Caraviello Be It Resolved the Medford City Council would to like to commend Teresa Pepe from Bride N Belle in Medford for her continued support and generosity to the MHS girls over the last 4 years. Teresa has donated over 100 brand new beautiful gowns in recent years to the MHS Prom Dress Shop. This program has helped hundreds of Medford High School students be able to go to the Junior and Senior Proms. The generosity of Teresa and her devotion to our community has impacted the lives of many of our students and has inspired my own commitment to continue to be involved in this wonderful program. 13-080-Offered by Councillor Penta Be It Resolved that the sudden over the vacation implementation of the Massachusetts Stealth Bathroom Bill by the state's Commissioner of Education Mitchell Chester for public schools be discussed in the interest of public safety, privacy and modesty that each child deserves when using a public school bathroom, locker room or changing facility.
