How to instaII OWSM 11gR1 on base WebIogic instaII

II you have a need to secure Weblogic JAX-WS clients and web services using OWSM,
and the Weblogic environment was setup using Weblogic installer instead oI SOA
installer, then this guide is Ior you.
OWSM runtime depends on Oracle`s portable layer called JRF and OWSM management
is provided through Enterprise Manager, both oI which are not available through
Weblogic installer. The step-by-step instructions below will take you through the process
oI installing OWSM in such base Weblogic install environments.

Note: These instructions are also planned to be rolled up into the oIIicial OWSM
documentation in near Iuture.
Pre-requisites:
Download the Iollowing installers Irom Oracle Fusion Middleware download site

Weblogic
Application Development runtime
Repository Creation Utility (RCU)
You would also need a database instance.
High IeveI steps:
Install Weblogic Server
Install Application Development runtime
Install Database, and install MDS schema using Repository Creation
Utility(RCU) installer (Ior OWSM policy store)
Create a Weblogic domain using Iollowing 3 templates
Oracle WSM-PM Extension -11.1.1.0
Oracle Enterprise Manager -11.1.1.0
Oracle JRF -11.1.1.0
Download and install any available patches Ior Weblogic and Application
Development runtime
DetaiIed step-by-step instructions:

Step 1: Install Weblogic Server:
cd wlsshiphome~
run ./server103linux32.bin
In the installation wizard ,














click 'next'
SpeciIy oracle home~ in step 2. The wls server would be installed in this
location so make a note oI the path
Click Next




























uncheck 'I wish to receive ...' and click 'yes' and 'Next'
Click 'Next' on all the remaining screens with deIault selection

























Step 2: Install Application Development Runtime
Unzip oImappdevgeneric*.zip
cd appdev/Disk1
Run installer i.e. ./runInstaller
SpeciIy JDK home Ior the installer to proceed iI prompted
(ex:/adeautoIs/adelinux/JDK6MAINLINUX.rdd/080528.6.0.7.FCS/jdk6)
The installation wizard will open , Click 'Next














Check the radio button Skip SoItware Updates`
Click 'next'.










































In speciIy installation location step, veriIy that Oracle home points the location
speciIied above and click 'next'
Click on 'next' on all the remaining screens with deIault selections






























MDS Schema Creation:
Run Repository Creation Utility(RCU) installer
Unzip the installer and go to bin Iolder
run ./rcu


















Select Create radio button and click Next





















Iollow the wizard, stank01, port 1521, adt102, DBA user/password: sys/manager
SYSDBA user to create your schema
Enter a username and password




















Click Ok` to the pop up window






















Select OracleAsRepositoryComponents -~AS common Schemas -~Metadata
Services Ior MDS
click next and Iinish




















Provide the password Ior schema and click next to remaining screen





























Create Domain with EM, OWSM and 1RF
cd oracle home~/oraclecommon/common/bin
run ./conIig


















Create a domain using Iollowing 3 templates
Oracle WSM-PM Extension -11.1.1.0
Oracle Enterprise Manager -11.1.1.0
Oracle JRF -11.1.1.0




















Provide the domain name
























Provide the User name and password Ior administrator
























Select the Production mode
























Provide the DB details
Click next to remaining screens
