Already-established moments of the KCAI brand are incorporated. Futura Medium Condensed is used at primary type and Garamond Premier Pro is used as body copy. Included in the materials are white plastic, steel, and clear glass. Transparency makes the viewer aware of their space and its physicality. A new mark consisting of updated colored stripes represents the accumulation of knowledge and new experiences by students over their time at KCAI. The bar repeatedly breaks its frame and engages with a white plane, illustrating the transition from youth to adulthood and the challenge of the old model.

Brightly colored stripes replace existing crosswalks across intersections on campus and near satellite buildings in the surrounding neighborhood. This is an engaging and lively interaction with commuters traveling through the area and serve to demarcate the extended campus without creating new infrastructure.

These directional indicators are not only practical in their informational nature, but embody the spirit of the waynding identity. The glass columns in their resting state are transparent monoliths, blending in and becoming a living part of the visual landscape on the campus. When travelers pass by, the column glows, activating through interaction. These glowing blocks then fade back into the background as the traveler moves on.
