JOB ANNOUNCEMENT
JOB TITLE: PROGRAM: LOCATION: REPORTS TO: JOB SUMMARY: Native Workforce Services Program is seeking an Administrative Assistant. Administrative Assistant is responsible for participant orientation, program enrollment and initial data entry functions. The Administrative Assistant will enter information into a variety of data tracking systems along with having filing and other general office responsibilities. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: 1. Ability to demonstrate and exercise good judgment and make sound decisions 2. Ability to communicate, listen, negotiate and maintain effective and cooperative professional business relationships with all levels of management and the general public. 3. Ability to problem solve. 4. Ability to work a flexible schedule. 5. Responsible to schedule all appointments, meetings and conference calls. 6. Ability to work independently and demonstrate well-developed organizational skills 7. Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with community and agency personnel 8. Ability to coordinate various priorities and have the ability to change tasks as needed to meet the needs of the Native Workforce Services Program 9. Ability to communicate information and ideas clearly and effectively both in oral and in written formats 10. Ability to interact with individuals from diverse Native/ American Indian backgrounds and social economic backgrounds and cultures. 11. Strong computer skills and knowledge to produce accurate, properly formatted correspondence letters, and documents. 12. General administrative duties: Screen and route phone calls, filing, photocopying, sorting of mail and other duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS: The minimum education requirements and qualifications for this position are: 1. High School diploma or GED 2. Minimum of two years of related experience in a position requiring the exercise of independent judgment and a high degree of confidentiality. 3. Previous data entry/word processing experience.
