I did literature review write up today and read up on what our project question is about to have a knowledge of what it is about. My team mates and I also select a leader (Jun Xiang) to be leading us for the whole entire three months of project. I did a write up on members profile which has my strength and weakness and also the leaves which I will be taking for the next few months. The website will includes all our minutes, explanation of how and what our project is about and also the links provided. I will have develop a brochure which is to be included in the website for advertising purpose.

I have to print screen the image of each steps so that it can be shown as examples for the users. Did everything go according to plan? If not, what went wrong? Yes. I am working on the Activity Flow Diagram for the use cases and the further development of project websote. Did you come up against any problems with the work you were doing? Yes/No? If yes, write down what they were. Yes. I have asked Jia Hui for help as I am unsure about how Activity Flow Diagram works. I also do some reading from the internet and look up some books for references. Did everything go according to plan? If not, what went wrong? No. Due to assignments, exam and army reservices, there is a delay in submitting or requirements specification, project document which are only submitted yesterday.

I did research on the internet for different Graphic User Interfaces for some websites. This is to get some ideas of how professional GUI designer design their website in a feasible way. All these research will be used for writing technical design manual and prototyping.

I used PowerPoint and Photoshop to design as I am more familiar with the software. Did you come up against any problems with the work you were doing? Yes/No? If yes, write down what they were. Yes. Due to the changes in functionalities, I have to constantly change the user interface design. All these changes lead to further development of our product. Did everything go according to plan? If not, what went wrong? Partially. As I had made initial plan on the design, I further discussed with my team mates about my design and make necessary modifications. Yes, the updated version of the user interfaces design and preliminary technical manual.

I research on the samples and templates of System Test Plan and produce a System Test Plan Did you come up against any problems with the work you were doing? Yes/No? If yes, write down what they were. Yes. As the implementation of the program is not fully up yet, its hard to come up with different test cases. Did everything go according to plan? I have to come up with more test cases and updated System Test. I also need to produce a system testing requirement document as part of my test plan.

I continued with the research on Test Plan. The components include testing requirements, test log and the tests to be done and not to be done. There is a need to research on QT unit tester. The research went well although I had to spend some time to think of the components to add into the Test Plan. Did everything go according to plan? If not, what went wrong? Yes. I also discuss with the implementers about the features that are not supposed to be tested. I have also done with test requirements. Did you come up against any problems with the work you were doing? Yes/No? If yes, write down what they were. It is difficult to think of features that need not be tested. Did everything go according to plan? If not, what went wrong? Yes. Yes. I have to prepare test cases and test scripts for next session.

Name: Goh Kheng Siang Joel Date: 08 Feb 2013 Did you do any work? Yes/No? If yes, what did you do? Yes. For the unit testing report, I produce the screenshots, description and codes for the testing. I create the test-cases by creating the DB test project. The screenshots for unit testing are on-going. Stephen and I are progressing well with the User Manual as the preliminary User Manual Guide has to be submitted on 9 February. More deliverables are created such as integration testing documents and system testing documents. Did you come up against any problems with the work you were doing? Yes/No? Yes, I faced problems with continuously updating the test cases and screenshots for the program is tedious partially because the project is making progress daily and we have to update all the documents. If no, state why not. Yes. Submission of preliminary User Manual has to be done by tomorrow.

System testing to test how our program interacts with 3rd parties such as application software. Integration testing to consolidates all the previous testing result and continues testing for errors after integrating the coding of our 2 programmers. I re-edited the test plan and added more features/testing to the testing scripts. I proceed to update all the relevant documents to store those results. When updating the unit testing source code, coding must be changed in the main program. I brainstormed with implementation team on what coding need to be change. Did everything go according to plan? I need to make sure most of the testing are completed.

I also cooperate with my team members to video record the program flow for demonstration. All the testing documents have been checked and are ready to be submitted. A final editing of final user manual is done. User manual is ready to be submitted. Did you come up against any problems with the work you were doing? Yes/No? If yes, write down what they were. Yes. There is a last minute updating of user manual which affect the time planned to do demonstration video recording. However, tasks are being delegated well in among the group members and we are able to complete the editing in time. Did everything go according to plan? If not, what went wrong?
