DART Analyzer shown mounted into a convenient lid assembly as part of a PFL-4000 System.
BIDDLE DART
Multiple display and mounting options - choose between a variety of Dart Cable Analyzer display options (monochromatic, color, etc.) and mounting configurations (stand alone for use with an existing cable fault locator, fliptop, cabinet mount, etc.) Multiple Display and Mounting Options The new Biddle DART Cable Analyzer is designed with the flexibility to select the mounting configuration which best fits your needs and the analyzer display which is most appropriate for your service crews. Description of Mounting Options: Option HG The HG option supports the PFL-1000 system configuration. Utilities moving forward on a URD loop sectionalizing strategy will find this system configuration particularly appealing. The DART and PFL-1000 are structured for convenient installation into the bin of a utility service truck. Option SA Option SA provides a convenient stand-alone package for those customers that only require an analyzer. The stand-alone DART can be used with existing Biddle cable fault systems or can be used to upgrade existing arc reflection systems. Option 4K Option 4K is offered to customers who are looking for a self contained, portable cable fault system. This mounting option supports the PFL-4000 system by mounting the DART analyzer into a convenient lid assembly that mounts directly to the PFL-4000 chassis. Option 5K A popular solution to many utilities is vehicle mounted equipment. Option 5K supports this platform by mounting the DART into the 19 inch cabinet used with the PFL-5000 Power Fault Location System. Combined, the DART and PFL-5000 become a complete, self-contained solution to URD maintenance. Option 6K A choice when a higher energy vehicle mounted system is required. Option 6K supports this platform by
mounting the DART as a component of the PFL-6000 Power Fault Location System. Combined, the DART and PFL-6000 become a complete, high energy system for fault locating on networks and feeders. Description of Display Options: Option C The active matrix color display is ideal for vehicle mounted packages. The display can be used with the HG, SA or 4K packages, but has limitationsin direct sunlight. Waveforms are easily identified on the color display center. Each waveform captured and displayed is represented in a different color. Option M The transflective monochrome display is by far the most versatile display option. In direct sunlight the display utilizes a reflective panel to illuminate the display panel, providing crisp clear viewing without washout. In darker environments, the display automatically turns on a backlight providing proper viewing in dim areas.
