Procedure 1. Prepare a 0.1% solution of Yellow 5 in distilled water. 2. Prepare a 0.1% solution of Red 40 in distilled water. 3. Heat Phase A ingredients to 80C with mixing until completely melted. 4. Heat Phase B ingredients to 80C with gentle mixing until completely melted. 5. Mix Phase A into Phase B at approximately 1500 rpm's using a Premier dispersating mixer or other high shear mixer. 6. Cool mixture to approximately 50 C. 7. Mix Phase C together with a spatula by hand and add slowly in small portions to the combined Phases A and B. 8. Mix Phase D together and add to the combined Phases A, B and C when the mixture temperature is < 40 C. 9. Add Phase E with mixing. 10. Add Phase F with mixing. 11. Mix until a homogeneous solution is obtained. Variations Alternative Dow Corning Products have not been tested as of this printing.
