Dissertation Topic and Brief Summary: M.E. - Linear Phase FIR Low Pass Digital Differentiator Design. In the thesis, a closed form formula is derived for linear phase higher order case of low pass differentiators and designed filter is used in a novel QRS complex detection system for noisy ECG waveforms. Then, convex optimization based linear phase fractional order case is explored and improvements are observed w.r.t. existing counterparts. Image texture enhancement application is also implemented from designed filter.
