ECLIPSE
The moon revolves around the earth and the earth revolves around the sun. At the certain , the earth , the moon and the sun are in a straight line. When sunlight is blocked by the earth or the moon ( opaque), a shadow will perform. Thus an eclipse in formed.

1. An eclipse occurs because of the property of light : i. Lights travels in a straight line. ii. Light cannot pass through the opaque object. 2. There are two types of eclipes : i. The eclipse of the moon ( lunar eclipse) ii. The eclipse of the sun (solar eclipse )

a. The earth is between the sun and the moon b. The earth, the moon and the sun are position in a straight line. c. The earth positions block the sunlight from reaching the moon. d. The earth shadow is formed on the moons surface and causes an eclipse of the moon. e. The eclipse of the moon can last more than one hour. It can be observed at night.It only occur during the full moon phase which is 15 th day.
