ABOUT THE INSTITUTION

Velalar College of Engineering and Technology, Thindal, Erode is a self-financing coeducational institution established in the year 2001 with all the necessary infrastructural facilities provided through the vision of Vellalar Educational Trust that ably governs the institution. The college is approved by the AICTE, New Delhi and is affiliated to Anna University, Chennai. The institution has completed eleven years of dedicated and excellent service in the field of technical education. This institution offers seven UG courses (BME, CIVIL, CSE, ECE, EEE, IT, & MECH), two Applied Sciences (B.Sc (CT & IT)) and six PG (M.E CSE, EMBEDDED SYSTEM TECHNOLOGIES, APPLIED ELECTRONICS, VLSI DESIGN, MBA & MCA) programmes. The Vision of this college is to provide a wide range of academic and research programmes and strive to develop a world class center of excellence for learning. There are four research centers in the fields of Management Studies, Chemistry, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering approved by Anna University, Chennai. Many funding proposals have been submitted by faculty to various funding agencies. An industry and institute partnership cell and Entrepreneurship and Managerial development cell have been established to expose scholars to the industrial sectors and these are supported by funds from AICTE. The college has signed Memorandum of Understanding [MoU] with many leading corporate and Multi-National companies to enable the faulty and students to gain practical knowledge and exposure to industrial environments.

ABOUT THE CONFERENCE

The National Conference on Horizons in Computing Technologies and Applications aims to bring the working professionals, researchers, faculty and students to a common platform for sharing their knowledge and achievements. It would also give an exposure to the participants regarding the challenges & advances in the field of computer applications through innovative talks by professionals and experts.
