LOS TELOMEROS:

Son molculas que protegen los extremos de los cromosomas , al igual que la cabeza de los cordones, pero a medida que las clulas se reproducen pierden efectividad y sus efectos se hacen visibles provocando el envejecimiento.

EL PRINCIPIO ACTIVO:

La TELOMERASAS, se extrae de la Scutellaria baicalensis Georgi, planta comnmente conocida como wogon, extensamente utilizada en la medicina Kampo japonesa. La Telomerasas acta directamente sobre los telmeros del ADN, impidiendo su degeneracin.

Sin la presencia de telomerasa, los cromosomas se acortan cada vez que la clula se divide. Por ltimo, el ADN de los telmeros se erosiona y el cromosoma queda daado, haciendo visible el envejecimiento.

La telomerasa mantiene completos los telmeros en los extremos de ADN. Estos permiten copiar todo el cromosoma, cada vez que la clula se divide.
