Today I learned about when the people praised Jesus when He entered Jerusalem and Jesus example of serving others.
Memory Verse(s):
Your king comes to you. He is gentle and riding on a donkey. Matthew 21:5 Jesus took the bread, blessed it and broke it saying, Take this and eat it; this is body Matthew 26:26 I, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet. So you also should wash one another's feet. I have given you an example. You should do as I have done for you.
John 13:14-15
Questions to Ask:
1. What was Jesus riding on when he entered Jerusalem? 2. What did Jesus do to teach about serving others? 3. What does the bread represent? Wine represent? 4. What did Jesus want us to remember?
Family Time: Review with your child one memory verse everyday. Talk about how as a family you can worship Jesus and serve others. Seek a need as a family and serve together. You may also re-enact how Jesus served his Disciples (washing feet & Last Supper) as a family.

Serving Others Craft

This craft is to remind children of what Christ did with His disciples. He washed their feet and told them to do the same. He gave us the example of serving others as He served. 1. Print the pictures of the basin and feet onto card stock paper. 2. Color Basin 3. Cut out the basin and add blue stripes of ribbon or construction paper to the back (as if it is being poured out) 4. Glue completed basin to top of the feet page. 5. With brown ink (or marker) have children make fingerprints on one of the feet and keep the other clean. Color feet. 6. Color Last Supper picture and paste to the back 7. Review different ways that we can serve others.
