The LabWindows/CVI Evaluation download installs the LabWindows/CVI Evaluation Package which can later be activated as a licensed version of LabWindows/CVI. When you launch LabWindows/CVI during the evaluation period and before you have purchased a valid license, LabWindows/CVI displays the dialog box shown in the following figure.
Click Launch CVI to begin running the software in evaluation mode for the duration of the evaluation period. You can evaluate LabWindows/CVI for a period of 30 days, with 7 days of full evaluation access. Then you can register on the National Instruments Web site for access to the remainder of the evaluation period. For the next 23 days of the evaluation period, the limitations in the Evaluation Restrictions section below apply. To purchase LabWindows/CVI, click Purchase Products. You also can contact National Instruments to purchase LabWindows/CVI. For contact information, refer to ni.com/contact or ni.com/niglobal.
Refer to the LabWindows/CVI Release Notes, located in the cvi\bin directory, for a list of new features in LabWindows/CVI and activation instructions. Evaluation Restrictions The following restrictions apply after the first 7 evaluation days: 10-minute run-time timeout

Note After you activate LabWindows/CVI, you must rebuild any projects you created in evaluation mode. If you do not rebuild the project you created in evaluation mode, the project will continue to have a 10-minute run-time timeout.
