The results speak for themselves. The only item that jumped out was question H
where 29 people answered, “they do not take the Crosstown bus home from NYC in the
PM because they are unable to get a seat”. We took the next step and contacted those
who provided us with their email address to find out when they were unable to get a
seat. There were 19 commuters who left their email address and we received
responses from 7 of them. We sent them a follow up miniature questionnaire to get a
better idea of what was happening.
The general feeling from those who responded was that it is easier to walk to the
Port Authority at night because there are more options. Also, waiting on the street was
not a positive event if they were not sure that a seat was open. However, this issue is
something which Scott will discuss at the March meeting. Please see the attachment A
