Zeenews Sports Bureau London: Wrestler Sushil Kumar created history by becoming the first Indian to win back-to-back Olympic medals when he assured himself a silver by storming into the final of the men's freestyle 66 category in a dramatic fashion at the Excel arena here on Sunday. The Indian will now meet Japanese army man Tatsuhiro Yonemitsu in the final. The final bout starts at 6:35 pm (IST).
Kohima: Chekrovolu Swuro, the archer from Nagaland who took part in the London Olympics, has been ho the first T. Ao State Sports Award. The award was also given to sports administrator Lanu Toy and Greenwood School. Nagaland Governor Nikhil Kumar conferred the awards at a ceremony here Wednesday.
T. Ao was instituted after the Naga People`s Front government reviewed the Nagaland Sports Policy in 200 recognise excellence in sports.

Abhinav Singh Bindra (born September 28, 1982, in Dehradun ) is an Indian shooterand is a World and Olympic champion in the 10 m Air Rifle event. By winning the gold in the 10 m Air Rifle event at the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games, he became the first Indian to win an individual gold medal at the Olympic Games. It was also India's first gold medal since 1980, when the Men's Field Hockey Team won the gold.
