They hung there most of the afternoon.
One stayed in tree pretty consistently
1 while the other flew off and returned
repeatedly. The one soaring appeared
to be hunting above streams on Huso
property.

appeared to go down on the ground
and back to tree. Then it flew behind a
hill.

road, lit in a tree, and remained
golden- immature w/ith perched. The immature GOEA
distinct tail band & wing appeared west of the road and soared
patches overhead for some time. A red tail
hawk appeared and it and the GOEA
did some rolls and talon displays. The
RT disappeared and the GOEA
continued soaring west of the road.
The BAEA remained perched the
entire time.

adult and 5.4 miles south of Monterey Jackson River. Observers stopped to
watch. After a few minutes the eagle
flew north upstream and observers
followed it. The eagle flew NW through
the Vanderpool Gap and followed the
river along US 84. I flew 30 feet over
the car and observers saw it through
the sunroof and could hear its wings
flapping.

circles quickly gaining altitude and
moving south. Before it got out of sight
a red tail hawk appeared and dived at
the eagle repeatedly. The red tail has a
nest on Fullerton property

adult Sandy Hevener, Patti Reum buildup in bald eagles and is on a
7.5 -week-old permit to collect feather, talon & blood
samples. The eaglet was perched on
the edge of the nest with an adult
` when the group found the tree. When
he started climbing the tree, the adult
flew off, circled and returned several
times. It was very agitated. He didn’t
want to risk causing the eaglet to jump
and we backed out of the mission. He
commented that he’d never had an
adult behave that way, they usually fly
off and don’t return quickly.

looked up and seemed to track them
for a few seconds. They were several
hundred feet up and continued south.
