First Reading: Genesis 2:18-24 Lector 1: A reading from the Book of Genesis The Lord God said, It is not

good for the man to be alone. I will make a helper suitable for him. Now the Lord God had formed out of the ground all the beasts of the field and all the birds of the air. He brought them to the man to see what he would name them; and whatever the man called each living creature, that was its name. So the man gave names to all the livestock, the birds of the air and all the beasts of the field. But for Adam no suitable helper was found. So the Lord God caused the man to fall into a deep sleep; and while he was sleeping, he took one of the mans ribs and closed up the place with flesh. Then the Lord God made a woman from the rib he had taken out of the man, and he brought her to the man. The man said, This is now bone of my bones and flesh of my flesh she shall be called woman, for she was taken out of man. For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and they will become one flesh.

This is the word of the Lord.

Lector 2:

A reading from the book of Ephesians

Therefore be imitators, of God, as beloved children; and walk in love, as Christ Loved us and gave himself up for us, a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God. Be subject to one another out of reverence for Christ. Wives, be subject to your husbands, as to the Lord. For the husband is the head of the wife as Christ is the head of the church, his body, and is himself its Savior. As the Church is subject to Christ, so let wives also be subject in everything to their husbands. Husbands, love your wives, as Christ loved the church, and gave himself up for her, that he might sanctify her, having cleansed her by the washing of water with the word, that he might present the church to himself in splendor, without spot or wrinkle or any such thing, that she might be holy and without blemish. Even so husbands should love their wives as their own bodies. He who loves his wife loves himself. For no man ever hates his own flesh, but nourishes and cherishes it, as Christ does the church, because we are members of his body. For this reason a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and the two

shall become one flesh. This mystery is a profound one, and I am saying that it refers to Christ and the church; however, let each one of you love his wife as himself, and let the wife see that she respects her husband.

This is the word of the Lord.

Responsorial Psalm Psalmist Let our response be: Let all praise the name of the LORD.

Please repeat.
Praise the LORD from the heavens; give praise in the heights. Praise him, all you angels; give him praise, all you hosts. Repeat response. Praise him, sun and moon; give praise, all shining stars. Praise him, highest heavens, you waters above the heavens. Please repeat response. You mountain and hills, fruit and trees and all cedars; You animals wild and tame, you creatures that crawl an fly. Repeat response. You kings of the earth and all people, princes and all who govern on earth; Young men and women too, old and young alike. Repeat response. Let them all praise the LORDS name, for his name alone is exalted, majestic above earth and heaven. The LORD has lifted high, the horn of his people; to the glory of all the faithful, of Israel, the people near to their God. Repeat response.

Prayers of the Faithful Father Mon: Dearly beloved, let us now pray for the Church and for our newly wedded couple whose marriage reflects her unions with Christ. Let our response be:

Lord, make us your faithful servant

Lector: May those in the positions of authority and stewardship -Church and political leaders, parents and educators - prove to be good stewards, attentive to the needs of those under their care, let us pray to the Lord.

Lector:

For the poor and the sick and for all those in trial and affliction, let us pray to the Lord. For Norman and Rovelyn, that God may keep their hearts united forever, let us pray to the Lord. That God may protect Norman and Rovelyn from evil, lighten their burdens and fortify them in their trials, let us pray to the Lord. That He may renew the grace of Sacrament of Matrimony in the married couples here present, let us pray to the Lord.
