Communication:

Communication is simply the act of transferring information. In other words, it is the process of transferring or conveying information through the following methods When we say something When we write something By making gesture By producing some words

So, by these processes information can be conveyed.


Things necessary for Communication:

Basically three things are necessary for communication: 1. 2. 3. Sender Medium Receiver

Medium Conveys message from sender to receiver so, it also plays vital role in communication. Message not only means the speech used or information conveyed, but also the non-verbal messages exchanged such as facial expressions, tone of voice, gestures and body language. Non-verbal behavior can convey additional information about the message spoken. In particular, it can reveal more about emotional attitudes which may underlie the content of speech. Personal Communication:

Communication between two people is called personal communication. Inter-personal Communication:

If someone sends you the text message so its one sender and one receiver. One sender and many receivers:

If someone sends one text to many people, it is one sender and many receivers. Many senders to one Receiver:

Which can be in form of facial expressions or gestures Or Non-verbal communications include facial expressions, the tone and pitch of the voice, gestures displayed through body language (kinesics) and the physical distance between communicators (proxemics) Formal Communication:

There are some rules or principle for this type of communication. Aslo there is restriction words, tone, and styles etc e.g. communication with your teacher or with your parents. Informal Communication:

There is no restriction of words, tones, styles. Also there are no rules applied in this type of communication. e.g. communication between relative, friends, etc. Internal Communication:

The communication between people within an organization is internal. e.g. within an organization, how will the boss communicate with the juniors of organization. First he will communicate with the manger and middle workers of that organization and then the manager will communicate with the sub-ordinates or juniors. Since this communication is within an organization, so it is called internal communication. The medium, in that case, will be in the form of oral/written/meeting/fax/mail/essays.

External Communication:

The communication between people outside the organization is external e.g. if Gomal University hold the debate competition with some of the other universities such as NUML, Comsats, then Gomal university will first inform the head of those both Universities. Afterwards, those heads of both institutions will inform their teachers and teachers will select the students from their organization and send them and to Gomal University for debate competition since it is between different.

How will we come to know the result of communication? Feedback: Its the result/response of communication. 1. Motivation:

Either from the result one will motivate or will be degraded by that result 2. Guidance:

If there are some mistakes in your assignments, then if you guide the students properly, then it will +ve or students will get motivated. Or if you have not guide that student properly then the result on that student will not be a good one i.e. it it Ve.

1. Conciseness:

It means to convey the message in least possible words i.e. minimum words but to the point. It is necessary because: It saves time It saves money It reduces effort It is more interesting for receiver It is comprehensible for receiver It produce better feedback

It means how you deal with someone or what your behavior is with people or with some organizations. 1. 2. 3. 4. 6. Show element of respect to the receiver Use soft language or polite words Dont be rude to receiver or dont use rude attitude or words Dont loose your temper dif someone misbehaves you. Stay calm at that time Consideration:

It means to take care of your receiver. 7. You must keep in mind the interest of your receiver that what he wants. Adopt you attitude. Means more focus on the audience or your receiver than us. By keeping in

mind their problems and try to solve them. Show the importance of receiver for you. e.g. how much the receiver is important for you. Optimistic approach means always keep positive approach towards your receiver. Coherence:

It means our thoughts are logically connected e.g. one can explain the clear idea or thought of what is going in his mind. He writes those things or words that have been going through his mind. His thoughts and his words are relevant to each other. We should remain stick to our subject thats how our thoughts can be logically connected. It develops the interest of receiver. It can be easily understandable as the same idea or though is going through the whole topic.

An essay is a short piece of writing that discusses, describes or analyzes one topic. It can discuss a subject directly or indirectly, seriously or humorously. It can describe personal opinions, or just report information. There are many different kinds of essays. The following are the most common ones:

The descriptive essay provides details about how something looks, feels, tastes, smells, makes one feel, or sounds. It can also describe what something is, or how something happened. These essays generally use a lot of sensory details. Example: A tree in backyard: What does this tree look like? How does this smell? What are its part? 2. Definition:

A definition essay attempts to define a specific term. The analysis goes deeper than a simple dictionary definition; it should attempt to explain why the term is defined as such. Example: the meaning of an abstract concept, like love;

Compare/ Contrast:

The compare/contrast essay discusses the similarities and differences between two things, people, concepts, places, etc. Example: The similarities and differences between men and women.

Cause/Effect:

The cause/effect essay explains why or how some event happened, and what resulted from the event.

An effect essay discusses what happens after a specific event or circumstance. Example: Cause essays Example: If this cause essay were about a volcanic eruption, it might go

Narrative:

The narrative essay tells a story. It can also be called a "short story." Generally the narrative essay is conversational in style, and tells of a personal experience. Example: My brothers is my fishing trips; My brother always knew how to find the best fishing spots. I used to love to go fishing with him,

because thats when he would tell me his secrets. He told me his secrets. He told me which fly was best for catching bass, and what time of day was.

A process essay describes how something is done. It generally explains actions that should be performed in a series. Example: How to become a computer Hacker? Step1 come up with powerful system software. Step2 understand the basics of the relevant field i.e. You must learn N+ , Language programming identity theft, etc Step3 Having enough money to buy hardware and softwares. Finish You became a Hacker now. 7. Argumentative:

An argumentative essay is one that attempts to persuade the reader to the writer's point of view. Example: People should use public transportation.

Critical:

A critical essay analyzes the strengths, weaknesses and methods of someone else's work. Example: the strengths and weaknesses of the movie i.e. [My name is Khan].
