Journey through the Quran

Assalaamu alaikum warahmatullahi wabarakaatuh, Auzu billahis sameeil aleem minas shaitaanir rajeem min hamzihi wa nafkhihi wa nafsih, Bismillahir rahmaanir raheem, Alhamdulillahi wa kafa wa salaamun ala ibaadihil lazi nastafa laa siyaman Mustafa Sallahu ala aalihi wa sahbihi wa sallama tasleeman katheerah All Praise is due to Allah alone, we praise Him and see His help. Who so He guides is the truly guided one and whom so ever Allaah leaves astray none can show him guidance except Him. May the best peace and blessings be upon Prophet Muhammad (saw) I hope all of you are fine by the Grace of Allaah. Alhamdulillah I was very happy when I came to know that a convocation was being organized for us. I was immediately hit by a wave of sadness that I wouldnt be able to attend. Same goes for my sister as well. We had met for the sake of Allaah and now we will officially part for the sake of Allaah. Though we would all try to keep in touch, the previous connection we had will be lesser. That time we all held on to the rope of Allaah or Hablullah. May Allaah make us of those who will always hold on to that rope where ever we are. Ameen. I wish I could have met all of you and also our beloved teachers. I miss all of you, not to mention the fun and also the food! Saudi food is after all the best and not to mention cheap. We know that the friendship formed for the sake of Allaah is the one that will last and will help us attain the shade of Allaah when no other shade will be available on that day. I am grateful that Allaah gave me the chance to study His book. I did have a good basic knowledge of the deen but it never occurred to me that I would love it more and try to implement o my life. Before the Quran entered into my life, I distinguished between acts of Ibaadah and the other aspect of life. I used to read the Quran almost every day. I never gave a thought to Imaan much. Because it never even occurred to me that it required perfection. I had taken my fitrah for granted. The Quran is the best book on earth. None can argue that. However, we think that we should refer to it only when we want to gain the ilm of the deen and if we want to seek Knowledge pertaining to this world then we should go in search of it. This is a mistake most Muslims make. We never understood that the Quran contains everything. It has the message it wants to convey and it also has the principles laid down for us that we must follow in our day to day lives. In short our living is itself an ibaadah.

We know that Allaah says in the Quran that Allaah loves those who purify themselves.

Truly, Allah loves those who turn unto Him in repentance and loves those who purify themselves.)

Ok so we understand this as purification in the means of spiritual purification. It also means physical purification. So how about every time we do wudhu. We do it with an intention that our Salah should be accepted as it is a condition of Salah. But do we ever make an intention that we perform wudhu in order to please Allaah and at that state of purity Allaah loves us? Everytime we may take a bath or brush our teeth we are removing an impurity from ourselves in order to please people around and also that they dunt repelled by the nasty smell fr our mouth early in the morning. But if we do it with an intention that we want to be clean bcoz cleanliness is half of Imaan and also that Allaah loves those who purify then this trivial everyday act can be counted as a good deed for us and every single say we will be rewarded Insha Allaah. This is what I meant by distinguishing between everyday duties and acts of worship. Every single action we do, if it is good and we make the right Niyyah for it then Insha Allaah we just gained ourselves a good deed. I hope this small little advice will help us all. The studying of the Quran impacted my character as well. I now try to reflect it. As a student of the Quran people should not think the learning it has made us take a bad turn. I always wanted to change a part of me for the good. Alhamdulillah that my guide was the Quran and not any other philosophical book that they write these days, which is actually a deception to turn people away from Quran and Sunnah. Alhamdulillah as for the tafseer we studied, it is a subject that every Muslim must study. Allaah gave us the Quran in the best of the languages. Never have I learnt to appreciate the Arabic language much more. There are some terms that I cant forget at all. They have such a deeper meaning hidden in it, it makes me realize that my knowledge is significantly zero. For example, the meaning of Kafiroon, (I quote this eg because I can never forget it) it comes from the word Kafara which means to hide. Its real meaning is a farmer who hides the seed deep within the soil. In the same manner, the truth is hidden deep within and it results in polytheism and even atheism. Hence, people who do this act are called Kafiroon. This is a small example of the vast knowledge we still we have to conquer and must try to also. May Allaah grant us that opportunity and May we be able to use it.

Alhamdulillah we had a good teacher as well. Simeen Maam Jazakallahu khair katheeran for being an amazing teacher. May Allaah bless you and your family and May He preserve this wealth of good deed for you. I cannot forget you Maam in that blue scarf looking all cute and adorable not to mention huggable. You gained all our love and we hopefully gained yours as well. I love you Maam for the sake of Allaah. The other aspect of learning the Quran is me falling in love with Tajweed. I cannot get enough of it. Its knowledge makes the Quran seem more enticing and captivating. When there was a time I opened the Quran just to read the tafseer and understand there were other times also when I simply wanted to recite the Quran to perfect the tajweed. I hope we did not study tajweed in order to get grades but in order to implement it and teach it to others and get graded by Allaah swt. For tajweed we did a series of teachers. Since I attended classes 2 weeks after it began I suppose we had another teacher for tajweed. I would like to thank Sidra Maam, Hina Maam and Rabeea Maam a lot for helping us gain this wonderful aspect of the Quran and fall in love with it as well. Rabeea Maam jazakallahu khair katheeran to you for making tajweed seem not as hard and complicated. You inspired me to try and try to perfect tajweed and also drove me to improve my qiraat as well. I now these days recite the Quran as loudly as possible to get the best out of my voice. May Allaah bless you and your family and preserve this wealth of good deed for you. Ameen. I have met many wonderful girls in the class as well though majority of us knew each other very well. I hope all of you are doing well in whatever you are pursuing now. I can never forget the times I spent in the classes and also the snacks we got at the end of class. Remember the fruits we used to get at the end of each month for snacks. Ya those were sad moments. But then we did get to eat Zatars and once even a small pizza. Of course we did not merely come for eating there, but these were added to those fav moments. Also the Zuhr Salah we prayed in Jamaah. May Allaah accept those from us. I would like to thank Simeen Maam again for helping us carry the knowledge with us and also her daughter Jihan for carrying the cardboard full of the Paras. Jihan you are a strong girl though you look adorable you can carry heavy stuff. We cannot also forget Muneeras face everytime Jannah was mentioned can we? She used to go straight there. Do tell us how you went there so quickly. Masha Allaah sumaiya has a lovely voice for the Qiraat. I used to wait for her to recite in Tajweed class. Fathima Zahra also has a nice voice for the Quran. Masha Allaah. Silent but studious.

Then there is Minam and Methaz. We always used to sit together most of the time and enjoy the company. If you want to kno where Minam is ask Mehtaz and if you want to know where Mehtaz is ask Minam. Then there is Aysha Khan whom again I knew from our university, Atika with whom I didnt interact much but she as always nice to meet new people, Hafsa Mazhar whom we thought her name was Hafsa Zany, and also Amal and Maheen whom I didnt know where sisters. Then finally there is Rubina who is not present in class but she is my best friend I must mention. We form friendships for the sake of Allaah and she is one of them. She did get married and she is in India now and happily married I must say. I hope I did not miss out on anyone. Forgive me if I did. There were many of us but slowly it trickled down to a handful of students who were intent on finishing the work they had started for the sake of Allaah. May Allaah accept our deeds and accept this from us. May Allaah help us teach the knowledge we learnt with others. A stagnant knowledge kept to ourselves is despised. May our intention be just for Allaah alone. May Allaah grant us good ends in this duniya. May He not disgrace us or dishonour us. May Allaah recall our souls in the state of being Muslims. May Allaah protect us from fitnah. May Allaah not make us commit major or minor sins. May Allaah grant us His remeberance, His fear and His Love and Mercy. May Allaah grant respite to the Muslim Ummah. May He bring us back to the former glory we had. May Allaah help and grant victory to to people of Palestine, Syria, Libya, Egypt, Bahrain and many other Muslim nations caught in the turmoil of death and oppression. May Allaah grant them victory. May Allaah grant them victory. May Allaah grant them victory. May Allaah grant us Jannatul firdous. May Allaah grant us Sakinaah in our lives and righteous spouses and children. May Allaah help us act upon the Quran. I love you all for the sake of Allaah. May your lives be good and may we all achieve the perfection of a good Muslimah by following the examples of Muhammad (saw) and Ummahatul Mumineen. Jazaka Allaahu khair Simeen Maam and Rabeea Maam for helping and guiding us to the Deen of Allaah! All of you have fun today and enjoy each others companies and also the food! Was salaatu was salaamu ala nabeeina Muhammad wa ala aalihi wa sahbihi wa sallim. Wal hamdulillahi rabbil alameen. Wasalaamu alaikum warahmatullahi wabarkaatuh.

Assalaamu Alaikum, Since the last ten nights of Ramadhaan this year will start insha Allaah from Tomorrow (Wednesday, August 8th 2012) in Saudi Arabia, a useful reminder for us. A piece of Jannah is up for sale! Are there any buyers?? Subhaan Allaah! The beautiful month of Ramadaan is flying by! Its blessed days and fragrant nights are soon about to leave. And it breaks our hearts to let it go. Yet, O Muslim, Rejoice! For there is good news for you! A great opportunity is about to dawn upon you......A once-in -a -lifetime chance! It's an offer that you cannot pass by!

Allah Subhaanahu wa Taala, in his Infinite Mercy, has bestowed upon you a Great and Noble night..... Its the Night of Power. the Night of Divine Decree. A Night in which angels descend and send salutations to the believers A Night of innumerable blessings..full of PEACE and tranquility. A Night in which, Ibadah is better than a thousand months.

The Night of Al-Qadr is better than a thousand months. (Surah al-Qadr:3)

A thousand months! Subhaan Allaah! That is equal to 30,000 nights or 83 years and 4 months! Could there be a better chance for you than this??!! Could there be a more Merciful Lord than this??!! Subhaan Allaah wal Hamdulillaah! Here is your chance to repent.to come back to the Most Merciful.to change your life for the better. This is your chance to have ALL your previous sins forgiven!

"Whoever established prayers on the night of Qadr out of sincere faith and hoping for a reward from Allah, then all his previous sins will be forgiven" (Bukhaari)

This is a perfect opportunity to earn Allaahs pleasure..being saved from Hellfire and entering Jannah. A time when your dua will surely be accepted.

What to do on Laylatul Qadr?

1) Search for this night in the LAST TEN nights of Ramadaan (not just the 27th) Dont just single out one night for Ibadaat. Make sure to do it ALL TEN NIGHTS, because the EXACT date for Lailatul Qadr is hidden from us. What if Lailatul Qadr is some other night and not on the 27th?? Have you ever thought about that? Then you would have no one to blame but yourself if you miss this great Night.this perfect opportunity of goodness and blessings. Seek Laylat al-Qadr among the odd numbered nights of the last ten nights of Ramadaan. (Bukhaari, Muslim)

2) Strive HARD in your search, worshiping Allaah sincerely and diligently This your chance to earn Jannah. So give it ALL you got. everything you have. The Prophet (pbuh)used to used to strive hard in worship during the last ten days of Ramadaan as he never did at any other time. (Muslim, Ahmad) 3) Prepare for it mentally and physically Take off work, if you can and go for Umrah or make Itikaaf in the Masjid. Don't overtire yourself during the day, such that you don't have any energy left to worship the Almighty. Plan out your worship schedule for the night Take a nap during the day, if possible and rememberdo not overeat! 4) Shun worldly pleasures Don't waste A SINGLE MOMENT of your time, such as spending this precious time in the mall, shopping for Eid or in extravagant Iftaar-cum-fashion show parties. Stay away from anything and everything that might distract you from remembering Allaah (TV, movies, music, unnecessary phone calls, gossip, etc.) When the last ten days of Ramadaan began, the Prophet (pbuh) would tighten his waist-wrapper (meaning he would stay away from marital relations), spend his nights in prayer, and wake his family. (Muslim) 5) Spend these nights in prayer, reciting Quraan, making dua, doing istighfaar. Stand LONG in Qiyaam.hands folded obedientlyyour head low, in shamehumbly Eyes downcast.hearts tremblingtears rolling.. Tears of regret and sorrow..tears of repentance and shame Spread out your hands.like a beggar, begging for his life. Ask Allaah to forgive you and He will forgive you. Beg for his Mercy and He will give it to you. Beseech Him to guide you and save you from the torments of Hell. Be determined that you will rectify your mistakes and improve your shortcomings Resolve to be steadfast in your Commitment and be firm in your Deen Read Quraan, do much Tasbeeh, glorify Allaah, praise Him and thank Him. Make lots of dua for yourself, your family, your friends and the Muslim Ummah. 6) DON'T BE THE ONE WHO SLEEPS and misses out on immeasurable goodness One who misses this blessed night has indeed missed much goodness, for no one misses it except for the one from whom it is withheld. In it (i e. Ramadaan) is a night better than a thousand months, whoever loses the benefit of it has lost something irreplaceable. (Ahmad, an-Nasaai) There are many chances to sleep, but a chance like this is rare to come by .only once a year. And that also if you are lucky to be alive next year. Are you going to miss a golden chance like this one..sleeping?? Or are you going to be like the one who maybe just prays a few rakaat and thinks he's done enough and is eager to go back to sleep?? Think about it......Isn't there plenty of time to sleep?? Haven't we been sleeping all this while, anyway?? Haven't we SLEPTenough, O Muslim??!! Actually.ISN'T IT ABOUT TIME WE WOKE UP???!! Life is about opportunities. They say the wise man is the one who makes the most of his opportunities. Here is an opportunity to buy a piece of Jannah. A piece of Jannah is up for sale! Are there any buyers?? The dua to make on Lailatul Qadr Note: There is nothing that is narrated in the Quraan or Sunnah regarding Ibaadat such as prayer , duas, etc. that is to be

specifically read on Lailatul Qadr EXCEPT just one hadeeth from Aisha (RA) when she asked the Prophet (Sal Allaahu Alayhi wa Sallam): I said, O Messenger of Allaah, if I know which night is Laylat al-Qadr, what should I say on that night? He said, Say: Allaahumma innaka afuwwun tuhibb al-afwa faaffu anni (O Allaah, You are forgiving and You love forgiveness, so forgive me). (Tirmidhi) All the other duas and formulas for prayers that you see in some books and papers that are to be read a certain number of times or to be read in a specific order, or to be read in Salaah in a specific way, are ALL bidah. There is NO PROOF in the Quraan or Sunnah for their validity. Stay away from that. Remember, Allaah will accept your Ibaadah only and only if it is: a) done sincerely for Him alone b) if it is done according to what the Prophet (sal Allaahu Alayhi wa sallam) himself did or said or approved of. Otherwise it will be thrown back on the person who did it, without being accepted, no matter what it is. He (sal Allaahu Alayhi wa sallam) said: Every action that is not in accordance with this matter of ours [i.e. Islam] will be rejected. (Muslim) May Allaah save us from that. Ameen.
