Maiocco called the Ninth Regular Meeting of the Medford City Council to order at 7:00 P.M., at the Howard F. Alden Memorial Auditorium, Medford City Hall.

ROLL CALL SALUTE TO THE FLAG RECORDS


The Records of March 5, 2013 were passed to Councillor Lungo-Koehn. MOTIONS, ORDERS AND RESOLUTIONS 13-284- Offered by Councillor Lungo-Koehn Be It Resolved that the Medford City Council commend and congratulate the Medford High School Girls Basketball team, the Medford High School Boys Basketball team and the Medford High School Girls Hockey team for advancing into the state tournament. The young men and women worked extremely hard this year and deserve to be acknowledged for their hard work and dedication. 13-285-Offered by Councillor Lungo-Koehn Be It Resolved that the Medford City Council commend and thank Penelope Bruce and Brooke Johns, for all of the hard work and effort they have and are putting into working on and creating TEAM Medford, which is striving to protect our youth from Alcohol and other drugs. Penelope and Brooke have been working from 2 grants that the City obtained through the Health Department and 1

Medford Health Matter since 2008. They have also been diligently working to obtaining additional grants such as the Massachusetts Opioid Abuse Prevention Grant. Be it further resolved that they be invited to an upcoming City Council meeting to introduce themselves and explain to us the work they have been doing and how we could help. 13-286-Offered by Councillor Penta Be It Resolved that the net amount of 1 billion dollars of proposed foreign aid offered to Egypt by the President be discussed in the interest of our Medford community.
