2800 Columbia Ave, North Bergen, NJ, 07047 United States "Location is very convenient"

The location of the hotel is great and very convenient ! But the facility and service is not so good! The room is dark and quite small. The last day when we need to deposit our luggages temporarily, the reception asked us to pay US$10 for that. 2.05 Super 8 N Bergen Nj Nyc Area Sep 12, 2012 All Others "so easy to get to nyc via the $3 shuttle thru linc" Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest very convenient for us into nyc was a breeze and so cheap - shuttles run every few minutes to 40th st between 7 th and 8th ave 4.05 Super 8 N Bergen Nj Nyc Area Sep 10, 2012 With Friends Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest This guest did not leave a comment. 4.05 Super 8 N Bergen Nj Nyc Area Sep 9, 2012 Family "The search for the perfect hotel ended here!!!!!!!" "No food, no internet, no computer to print tickets" Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest Only good I can say is location. Bus to NY picks up in front, but watch return, bus stops several blocks away on a different street. Had to use GPS and walk several blocks in the rain to return to hotel. No internet access, one router for everyone and less than one bar only 50 ft from lobby. No breakfast unless you consider white bread and waffles (pure carbos, no protein) a meal; no eggs, no fruit, etc. Room was clean and comfy.Read less 2.05 Super 8 N Bergen Nj Nyc Area Sep 3, 2012 All Others Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest Average anywhere hotel, $3pp shuttle to port authority NYC, shuttles run 24/7, compare that to $30-40 for a cab. Daytime shuttle will drop off in the bus terminal garage, night shuttle will be outside the terminal. Return trip drop off is about a 5min walk from hotel (tell driver to let your know when to let you off for the Super8 & ask for walking directions). That is nothing compared to all the walking you will do in NYC. Hotel was clean, includes a mini fridge, microwave & has free parking (huge). Very accommodating for an early check in (noon) and changed parking tag that allowed us to keep vehicle in lot until 8pm, after 11am checkout. Overall a standard hotel, with great prices. It's close to the city and has a shuttle bus that will pick you up right in front and take you to and from New York for just a small fee. That's our favorite part of the hotel. The rooms are always clean and we never have a problem with them. Our only complaint would be the breakfast. We were hoping to save some money by eating breakfast there but when we came down there was nothing really there and no staff around to ask about it. This was the best deal we could find, and was looking to not drive into New York City. The bus (small shuttle bus 51 that I think are privately owned because each one is different) goes past the hotel pretty frequently. Just stand outside and wave at it and it will pull over and let you on if there is room. $3 dollars and it will take you to 7th & 47th (1 block from times square). When you want to leave, you go to the port authority bus station and go to the south building and to the back and you go down some stairs and to the bus which will take you to Toys R Us right up the street from the hotel. We had no problems on this bus service. The room was pretty clean, the cable tv worked. The internet was pretty spotty if there at all. Small breakfast in the morning. Customer service was very good, even though they are behind glass. We wanted to goto the city one last time the morning we were supposed to check out so we asked if we could have an extended parking pass (they usually expire at 3pm) so we checked out of the hotel and they extended it until 8pm for us even though we were still gone by 2:30pm. And a good start to a day helps to make the day perfect(atleast for me). We used the hotel only for sleeping and breakfast. The beds were comfortable. The rooms were spacious. No noise except for highway nearby. Did not bother us. There was some kinda smell/fragrance. Not too irritating though. They charge $3/person for a shuttle(every 20-30 mins) to Port Authority bus station/42nd St. MetroBus(every 50 mins) charges $3.20 coming back. So I think they do better. My room was comfortable and immaculate & had a fridge. Breakfast was ok, nothing special - toast, waffles, hard boiled eggs, cereal, muffins, juice. The shuttle to the city was easy to catch and only $3 each way; it took about 20 minutes to get to Port Authority. The staff were very helpful and had a handout of where to catch the shuttle on both the NJ and NYC side. Be warned that the wireless internet connection was quite bad, kept dropping and had a hard time sending emails. The tunnel is on the New Jersey side and costs $12 each way if you are driving through. The shuttle was a lifesaver for sightseeing.
