Well today is the International Womens Day. Bravo! Great! We are proud to be women today. But has the male society really done something to make us feel proud? This is a burning question that many young ladies ask their male society. Heres how they honour us, On 21st October 2012, Chanchal Paswan and her sister were sleeping four men came to their house and starting demanding sex from the girls. Upon refusal their faces were smeared with acid. On 16th November 2012, a couple goes home in a private bus in Saaket, Delhi and she is brutally gang raped by 4 men in a bus on duty. She was raped and one of the men inserted a rusted iron rod in her vagina causing that only 5 % of her intestines were in her body. This was so brutal that even doctors had not seen such a case of brutality. That girl is no more in this world. And guess what the culprits are not getting death sentence because one of them happens to be worker at Rahul Gandhis residence. Wow such an honour to that girl who is no more now. The verdict came out to be that all the four men were not found guilty. Hello? Excuse me? This is how the male dominated society treats us. The result is that ask your daughter to wear proper clothes. They are the one to make us have sex with them. I mean hello. What if a famous woman enterprenuer was raped by the servants working in her house. Well in that case it will be seen that the servants get the death sentence.

Three Accused in Delhi Gang Rape Case to Plead Not Guilty

A day before the Delhi gang rape case is likely to be handed over to a new fast-track court for trial, a legal defense team for the accused seemed to be coming together on Wednesday. Two lawyers said they had been retained by some of the suspects and planned offer not guilty pleas for their clients.

A defense team emerged despite protests earlier this week that saw thousands of lawyers in the local bar association refuse to represent the suspects because of what they called the heinous nature of the Dec. 16 gang rape of a young woman, who later died from her injuries. Manohar Lal Sharma, who ordinarily practices law in Indias Supreme Court, said on Wednesday that three of the five suspects in the case had signed papers authorizing him as their defense counsel. The three accused are Ram Singh, Mukesh Kumar and Akshay Thakur. Mr. Sharma said he was waiting to read the police charge sheet before formulating a defense strategy. He did say that he intended to scrutinize the thoroughness of the police investigation in the case, saying it was not done properly. However, it remained unclear if Mr. Sharma ultimately would represent the accused. Another lawyer, V.K. Anand, has also said he is representing Ram Singh, the driver of the bus in which the 23-year-old victim was raped and assaulted for 45 minutes before being stripped and thrown out on a highway. Mr. Anand said he had spoken with Mr. Singh for an hour and a half on Tuesday in Tihar Jail, where the accused are being held, and was convinced of his innocence. He should definitely be represented, Mr. Anand said. The reason is, whatever is coming in the media, whatever stories are coming from other corners and sources are absolutely different. Both lawyers said they would hand in their appointment letters, known as vakalatnamas, to a magistrate on Thursday. On Monday, shortly before the five suspects appeared in a south Delhi court, Mr. Sharma and Mr. Anand informed the court about their offer to represent the accused during a chaotic courtroom scene in which other lawyers tried to shout them down. The disarray prompted the magistrate to order journalists, lawyers and others not connected to the case to leave the courtroom. The magistrate, Namrita Aggarwal, issued an order declaring that the inquiry and trial will be in camera, permitting only those directly involved to enter the court. On the request of the special public prosecutor, Rajeev Mohan, the magistrate also prohibited journalists from printing or publishing any information about the proceedings. In passing the order, Judge Aggarwal argued that the crowds pressing inside the courtroom made it completely impossible to function. She also said that the police feared for the safety of the accused. The matter will come up again on Thursday, when the magistrate is expected to hand the case over to a trial judge in a so-called fast-track court. The Indian police and judiciary are usually notorious for their slow response and delays. But given the national outrage over this case, the

authorities have acted swiftly, especially after hundreds of students and womens rights activists took to the streets day after day for nearly two weeks to demand justice for the victim. Journalists and others who are not connected with the case will not be allowed inside the courtroom. On Wednesday, a district judge rejected a petition challenging the order that declared the proceedings to be private, ruling that the magistrates assessment of the situation in the courtroom on Monday could not be questioned or reviewed. The judge also said that under Indias criminal procedure code, court proceedings in cases of rape are required to be held in camera not just during the trial but also in the inquiry stage.

On 4th February, In Punjab, a girl goes to the police to file FIR against being harassed by some people and what does she get in return. She is slapped so hard at the side of the busy road by two policemen who should have helped the girl.
Even as Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal on Tuesday ordered a magisterial probe into the incident of an assault on a woman by Punjab Police personnel, the National Commission for Women (NCW) also asked the state Police chief to probe the attack. Issuing a notice to Punjab's Director General of Police (DGP), the NCW asked the Police chief to probe the incident. The NCW also asked the DGP to apprise the commission about the actual facts of the case along with action taken report within three days. The commission took suo motu cognizance of the media reports of the incident and sent the notice, NCW sources said. A 23-year-old woman was allegedly harassed by a truck driver on Monday while returning from a wedding party. When she approached constables, whom they spotted on the road at Tarn Taran near Amritsar, the victim alleged that instead of helping her, the police personnel took a bribe from the driver and started beating her. Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal ordered a magisterial probe into the incident, while DGP Sumedh Singh Saini Monday suspended two policemen and ordered an inquiry into the incident by a superintendent of police. The young woman, who was slapped pushed, abused and hit with a baton by policemen in uniform in Punjab's frontier district of Tarn Taran on Sunday, demanded strict punishment for her tormenters. "I have been humiliated and beaten in public by them. Why is the chief minister not coming to my rescue now," the victim asked Tuesday. The four to five police personnel were caught on camera assaulting the young victim and her aged father after she reportedly complained to police against some taxi and truck drivers harassing her near a marriage palace in Tarn Taran district, 280 km from here. The incident was recorded by a bystander on his mobile phone on Sunday and was aired by TV news channels.

Badal directed the Tarn Taran district magistrate to ascertain the causes and circumstances which led to the incident and submit the inquiry report within three weeks. Badal said "this was an unpardonable offence and anyone connected with this grave crime, howsoever influential he may be, would not be spared and brought to book as per the law of the land". The video showed the young woman being chased, slapped, abused and hit with a baton. The policemen also beat up her aged father and pushed him to the ground. His turban was also thrown on the ground. "The guilty policemen should be dismissed from service and a case be registered against them," the father of the victim said.

Couple of days ago, somewhere in India a sarpanch punished a villager because he was getting drunk and beating up his wife. Girls have an equal right to survive n this world. And trust me our minds are as strong as the males cannot imagine. Many a times married women are forced by their in laws to sleep with dignitaries so that they can do good in business. Many a times the husband is such a jerk that he himself forces her to slpeep with his boss and collegues. The moment a girl says that she has a boyfriend, all the males just understand that they can use her for sexual satisfaction. On Intrnatio nal Women Day, Sushma Swaraj, respected BJP MP of Lok Sabha was greeted by a male MP saying, Sushmaji, Happy Women Day. She gracefully thanked him and also said, 364 days you beat us and the 365th Day you greet us, Happy Women Day. The gentleman agreed to thecomment.

This is what I saw on facebook today in the morning. Every girl in some phase of her life is raped by the society. Such a thing was also aired as a trailer on Kaun Banega Crorepati. That at the birth of a girl she was despised not accepted by her father. The fear of giving dowry was so strong that he did not allow her to study further. Even then, he completed BA and was appreciated by her collegues. But there also, her male collegues sad bad thing about her. Then she came in Kaun Banega Crorepati, and her story was aired in public television. After that, Amitabh Bachhan asked, what is the messege she wants to give to her father. Recently I saw in Crime patrol, that a woman, Sunita was tortured by her husband, Gaurav and her inlaws because she gave birth to a girl. The husband started going out with some other lady. When his wife got pregnant for the second time, they inspected by a doctor disclosing the gender of the baby as a girl. Now her husband wanted to abort the child and finally one day divorce. Her husband was a doctor. And being a doctor, he gave his wife a deadly virus that costed her, her life. And in this case her husband, his family and Sonia went to jail. After sometime except her husband everyone got bail. But Gaurav was in jail. He asked both of his roommates to club with his girlfriend, Sonia to trap innocent Sunita. Gaurav asked his roommates of the jail that Sonia should meet him soon. When she met him, he designed a plot. The plot was that Sonia would have sex with those two men. And it would be steted in the FIR that Sonia was abducted by Sunitas family. Sunitas brothers raped Sonia and left her to die at a highway.
