SEQUENTIAL M.TECH DEGREE IN ENGINEERING BRANCHES
Uttarakhand Technical University has decided to run sequential M.Tech (3 summer semesters of 60 continuous working days during summer vacation for 4 courses of 4 credits, 42 contact hrs/week and 6 contact hrs/week for a subject. The 8 week period will be kept for each subject at least 48 contact hrs. The two tests and final examination and evaluation will be done by subject teacher and the credit system with A B C D grades wi ll be awarded to pursuant. If the candidate fail to secure 6.5 CGPA will have to reappear in some of the subjects so that the candidate can maintain the said 6.5 CGPA which is (6.5 .5)X10%=60% and will be first division. The total course will have laboratory component documentation in which full laboratory required equipments from source of availability to cost and establishment of laboratory and at least exhaustive number of practical done and documented in a volume will be evaluated for 8 credits. Thesis 15 Credits and comprehensive viva voce/Gate score will be of 10 credits. The Gate score 80-84 (D), 85-89 (C),, 89-95(B), 96-100(A) or comprehensive examination will be conducted to evaluate the general knowledge in 10 core courses of under graduate leve l by 4 experts and objective type of 3 hrs examination on PG. courses in between 3 semester to 4 semester duration. The fees will be Rs 25000/Semester for three semesters and last semesters fees will be Rs 5000/-. Only the total fees will be Rs 80,000/- exclusive of any other fees such as examination etc. The accommodation and the changes food during the stay will be responsibility of the candidate to afford and at venue of the courses.

PH.D Programme Exclusively for teachers

1- PH.D exclusively for teachers by external/internal registration and the RDC monitored six times a candidate with six monthly progress. A candidate with Two or more than two papers in international referred journals will be permitted to the submission of thesis. An M.Tech with firs t division and B.Tech with first Division are eligible for registration, but B.Tech degree holder has to attend one semester (16 Credit) Courses before final permission for submission of his/her PH.D thesis. A Thesis without paper may be awarded M.Tech (by research) to B.Tech degree holders provided thesis considered satisfactory for award of M.Tech degree by RDC (research degree committee of the UTU). 2- Regular M.Tech and PH.D degree courses will be registered and will be allocated by UTU where the professors and Associate professor with PH.D. Degree are in available in affiliated institutions of UTU with satisfactory infrastructure, such institutions will be limited in number for limited specializations. 3- The ordinances and application Performa will be available on website for off line and on line application. The registration will be made final after first RDC faced by the candidate.
