Indian Farmers Fertilizer Cooperative Limited (IFFCO) is a national level multi-unit cooperative society engaged in the manufacture and marketing of nitrogenous and phosphatic fertilisers. IFFCO is operating five plants located at Aonla and Phulpur in Uttar Pradesh, Kalol and Kandla in Gujarat and Paradeep in Orissa. Paradeep Unit is located about 140 Kms. from Bhubaneswar. Paradeep Unit comprises of 3 streams of DAP plant of 2090 MTPD capacity, 2 streams of 3500 MTPD capacity of Sulphuric acid plant and single stream of 2650 MTPD capacity of Phosphoric acid plant. At IFFCO-Paradeep, phosphogypsum is the by-product generated from phosphoric acid plant and annual gypsum production is approx 40 Lakh MT. Facility for storage of phosphogypsum is required for a period of 15 years hence facility is required to store phosphogypsum of amount 600 Lakh MT over a period of 15 years. Phosphoric Acid manufacturing process at IFFCO consists of wet Phospho-Gypsum disposal system having phosphogypsum stack and surge pond on HDPE lined area. Phosphogypsum slurry from phosphoric acid plant is sent to the disposal site i.e. gypsum stack through HDPE pipelines. Here phosphogypsum settles and clear water is decanted and comes to adjacent surge pond. The water which is accumulated in surge pond is acidic in nature (pH 2.5 to 3). This water from surge pond is sent for reuse / recycle to Phosphoric Acid Plant, wherein it is again used for making Gypsum slurry so as to pump it to Gypsum stack.

To meet the requirement for storage of phosphogypsum generation for next 15 years, it has been planned to create additional gypsum stacking facility over an approximate area of 250 acres of land. M/s Ardaman & Associates, Florida (USA) has been entrusted the job of basic design & Engineering for the proposed stack. Page 1 of 2

Gypsum stack construction will involve earthwork, installation of HDPE liner on graded surface, installation of HDPE pipes and gravel drains (with slotted HDPE drain pipes) on the top of the liner, etc.

Interested parties who are capable of undertaking the above job may intimate their Expression of Interest for carrying out execution of gypsum project on EPC (LSTK) module based on basic design submitted by M/s Ardaman & Associates, USA and submit the details/documents at the below mentioned address within 21 days:

1. Organizational Structure & Turnover of last five years (Year wise) 2. Copy of technology agreement wherever applicable 3. Project Methodology, Time Frame, Quality Plan, Disaster Management plan 4. Detailed list of construction of Gypsum Stack projects executed (under construction and commissioned) in last five years. Give detailed address of customer, capacity of project and actual responsibility given to vendor. 5. Financial status including audited balance sheet for last three years. 6. Bank Solvency Certificate
