Gist 1. SAPF190 - Financial Accounting Comparative Analysis 2. SAPF070 - Recocile Documents and Account Transaction figures (Replaced with TFC_COMPARE_VZ - tcode FAGLF03 in new GL) 3. SAPF071 - adjust balances after comparing documents/transaction figures What to Do When You See the Message, 'Update Was Terminated' A user drills down on a customer balance in FD10 and discovers that the total of the line item balances does not match the total monthly balance. Lets walk through an actual example to see how you might analyze this problem in real life. The sample company is Japanese, so balances are in Japanese yen (JPY), not U.S. dollars (USD). Note currency JPY has no decimal places, unlike USD.

Figure 1 The P09 balance in JPY is 18,021,850 in this screen. Note it does not match the JPY 18,071,858 in Figure 2. This indicates that a document did not correctly update the monthly balance postings.

Figure 2 The line-item total of JPY 18,071,858 does not match the monthly balance of JPY 18,021,850 in Figure 1.

The errors only occurred in the SAPF070 portion of the report, indicating only monthly balances are in error. The last part (SAPF190) of the report shows that the secondary index tables match the document line items. You can see it by scrolling down.
