Notes for Hannah Clancy Allen:
In the 1860 Redfield, NY census, Hannah's name was Honora and she was listed as being 3 years

Saturday Evening Globe - September 6, 1904

SOLD TO THE GIANTS
National League Champions Take "Bill" Clancy of Utica. For several seasons the major league
base-ball clubs have been after William Clancy, the Utican whose slugging of the sphere and fine
first
base play have made him a star in the Eastern League. He has persistently refused to go higher,
emulating the example of Hank Simon, who preferred the minors to the big circuits. Now, however,
he
has been purchased by the New York Giants. The latter have made terms with Montreal for his
services and the notice to that effect has been promulgated by Farrell. Inasmuch as McGann is
under an indefinite suspension it may be that the champions of the National League want the
Utican for first base at once.
