This image shows a farmer living during the time of the dust bowl. This powerful photography gives significance to the meaning of the harsh weather and conditions that farmers had to deal with when trying to grow crops to support their families. Glover, Imogene. Personal interview. 2010. This was an interview with a Dust Bowl survivor. This interview gave our group insight into what it was like to live under the harsh conditions that the dust bowl brought. This book about the development of rural India, provides information about the green revolution in India, and the process in which the Green Revolution moved the nation away from starvation, and towards agricultural success. This book provided our group with specific information regarding the Green Revolution in Tamil Nadu, in India. This book included details about the risk of a serious food crisis in 1974, the failed northeast monsoon, and the famine due to deficient rainfall, setting the stage for the Green Revolution.
