Guidelines for Writing Articles

Institute of Cost & Management Accountants of Pakistan Journal & Publications Committee Guidelines for Writing Articles 1 1. Select the topic on Business, Economy, Accounting, Finance and related areas under the notified Theme / Focus which shall directly or indirectly enrich the knowledge base of readers in general and Management Accounting professionals and students in particular; 2. The article and write-up shall either be based on primary or secondary research or may be the combination of both; 3. Use of statistical tools, graphs, tables, etc for analysis and interpretation would be encouraged; 4. The write-up should have author's insights so as to introduce new idea or propose change in existing norms / practices / concepts, or to challenge the established principles based on experiences / studies, critics, etc; 5. The article may lead to introduce concepts or initiate discussions in the larger interest of economy and business and accounting professionals; 6. The article / write-up shall take care of following aspects (see evaluation form on next page: a. Relevance to the Topic b. Objectivity c. Information Reliability d. Communication & Language e. Creativity f. References g. Plagiarism 8. The soft copy of article be sent to jps@icmap.com.pk with latest snap and brief introduction of the writer; 9. The submitted article would be sent to independent Article Review Sub-Committee of the J&P Committee for
