and make family mealtimes a priority.

• Add extra fruits & veggies to foods your child already likes
(ex: add fruit to cereal, veggies to pizza, etc.).
• Have healthy foods in the house for quick snacks (carrot
sticks, cheese, apple slices, etc.).

• Be aware of child size portions so your child is able to eat

“everything on his/her plate”.

Save the Date ~ Prom Revisited

Similar to last year’s “Thrift Shop Formal”, our MOPS group will be hosting an eve-
ning of food and fun called “Prom Revisited” on Saturday, April 25th. For a reason-
able fee (to be determined), you and your husband can enjoy a delicious dinner and
fun evening while your little ones are being entertained by our mopettes staff. Ap-
propriate attire for the evening would include old prom outfits or mismatched formal-
wear. So mark your calendar and start looking for that perfect (eighties!) prom
dress!

Remember to “Spring Forward” and set your clocks one hour ahead this
weekend. Daylight Savings Time Begins Sunday, March 8th, at 2 a.m. (local
standard time).

The Concession Stand ~ Sweet Irish Bread

• 1/4 cup butter
• 1 cup white sugar
• 2 eggs, beaten
• 2 cups all-purpose flour
• 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
• 1 teaspoon cream of tartar
• 1 pinch salt
A sweet breakfast bread • 1 cup sour cream
that tastes great • 1 cup raisins
toasted!
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease a
9x5 inch loaf pan. I use a glass one.
In a medium bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until
smooth. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the sour
cream. Sift together the flour, baking soda, cream of tartar
and salt; stir into the sour cream mixture until just
blended. Fold in raisins. Transfer the batter to the prepared
loaf pan.
Bake for 50 to 60 minutes in the preheated oven, or until a
small knife inserted into the crown, comes out clean.

The Golden Ticket

be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you
a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear.”
1 Peter 3:15 KJV

Every baby born is a miracle from God. But when the baby Jesus was born, eve-
ryone who came to see Him knew that this baby was different. The shepherds
and the wise men came to worship Jesus. They knew in their hearts the baby
was Christ the Lord. Just as the shepherds spread the word about Jesus, we
should be prepared to tell others why we set apart Christ as Lord. If we live by
faith and hope, people will notice and want to know why we are different. Be
ready to give them an answer that pleases the Lord!

A simple prayer: Dear Jesus, Help me to be prepared to answer questions

about my faith and to be willing to share my love for You with others. Amen.
