From the Office of the COMELEC Chairperson Office of the EA 2013 Students Executive Committee xt March 15, ernal Vice President To Class Presidents RE: Resolution Regarding GACP Interim Elections

Whereas, the GACP elections had been agreed by the Comelec and GACP Exeboard to be scheduled on March 15, 2013. However, the University had declared it as a non-working holiday. Whereas, the following day, March 16, 2013 has been declared by the local government as holiday in celebration of the 76th Araw ng Dabaw. The Comelec is also unable to move the elections during the final examination week considering the fact that the undergraduates would be busy preparing for it. Whereas, upon consultation with the current GACP executive board, pursuing the elections would stagnate the operations of GACP for a certain period of time. Whereas, in the previous interim elections last 2011, the elections had been scheduled after examination week which resulted in a very low attendance. The issue was resolved by retaining the executive board officers who would not be graduating. Wherefore, due to the constraints in finding an adequate schedule for postponement of elections, the current executive board officers who would not be graduating are automatically part of the interim executive board for this coming summer. Wherefore, Ms. Jubail Pasia, being the external vice president would take the position of interim chairperson. Mr. Vincent Cuzon and Mr. Irvir Dormile, who are the Secretary-General and Finance Officer respectively, would also form part of the interim executive board and may take the position of internal or external vice president depending on the discretion of the board to what they see fit. Wherefore, for the vacated positions, the interim executive board would be asking current members of the GACP who would like to take responsibility in the specified positions for the interim term. Given that the aspirants would give full commitment in their task. Wherefore, if there would be more than one aspirant, a proper selection process would be made in order to identify the best aspirant. The process of selection would be done by the interim
