She was always available when you needed assistance and replied quickly. -------------------

Even though the class was online, I still felt as if I knew everyone. -------------------
Did the professor/instructor inspire you to learn in this class?

Yes, her real life experiences were inspiring and her ability to relate the course content back to our own lives was inspiring as well. ------------------Yes, I was very interested in the material the instructor presented in this course. ------------------Yes! This class was a great mix of hands-on learning and class instruction. I was able to use what I learned in a productive manner and this will translate well to my future with educational technology. ------------------Yes -------------------
Describe the most helpful/ effective aspect(s) of the course

Ms. Dousay was always there if we needed assistance and her availability was very helpful as well as the resources she provided us with. ------------------Definitely the tutorials to help out with our assignments. ------------------The 5 assignments allowed me to apply what I learned in the course. I believe application helps a student approach complete understanding of a topic so I benefitted well from this. ------------------The videos and examples used in class were very helpful. Also the tutorials that the professor made were very helpful when doing assignments.

Describe your most significant learning experience in this course

Everything. I really enjoyed this course and each one of the five assignments. ------------------I learned how to effectively present material to an audience through technology ------------------I had never used Dreamweaver to create a website and I believe having the ability to do this will help me in the working world. ------------------Learning how to create my own e-Learning was pretty cool. -------------------

Is there anything else you'd like to tell us about this course or about the instructor?
This is one of the best courses I have ever taken at JMU and I was quite wary of it in the beginning because it was online and was very unfamiliar with this course content. I learned a lot and gained a variety of new skills I can utilize in many different situations. ------------------N/A ------------------Tonia was awesome! No complaints here. -------------------

Describe the most helpful/ effective aspect(s) of the course

The skills and abilities that she taught us with software such as Dreamweaver or Photoshop that I was able to bring up in my job interviews. ------------------The most helpful aspects were the step-by-step and detailed announcements that we posted on Blackboard for each assignment. ------------------The professor responded to e-mails almost immediately which is very helpful considering we never actually get to interact with her in person. ------------------Teaching what we needed to know for our projects, and then getting to do the project on our own. I loved getting the chance to be creative with the projects. ------------------Her online tutorials were very helpful at fostering learning outside of the class time. ------------------Teacher was almost always available despite living in Georgia! ------------------The most helpful aspects of this course were the tutorial videos. -------------------
Describe your most significant learning experience in this course

Learning how to make a video presentation. ------------------That making projects using different technology is not as hard as I thought! ------------------Learning how to use all different types of software... Photoshop, Dreamweaver, PowerPoint (something I thought I knew, but there was so much more I learned to do with it), adobe presenter, and iMovie and Movie Maker. ------------------Completing the final video assignment was so much fun and really enabled me to learn how to use iMovie and get feedback from other students. ------------------Learned a lot about e-learning! ------------------My most significant learning experience has been creating a promotional video for my little sister\'s musical talents in Windows Movie Maker. -------------------
What suggestions do you have to improve this course?

To have someone be on campus to show students who either have significant experience with the material or have taken the class before because sometimes you need someone who can look over your shoulder to see what
you did/aren\'t doing right. ------------------N/A ------------------nothing ------------------none ------------------N/A ------------------I didn\'t mind the class being online, but I would prefer that it wasn\'t due to the fact that most of the assignments required using technology I was unfamiliar with. -------------------
Is there anything else you'd like to tell us about this course or about the instructor?
I really enjoyed the instructor and how she conducted an online classroom. I had a lot of apprehension about the course but she did a great job of alleviating my concerns. ------------------She was a great professor who showed that she really cared about the success of her students! ------------------This class was one of my favorites this semester. I was hesitant about it being an online class, but it turned out great. The instructor was very knowledgeable. I liked how understanding she was of all of our schedules. I also really like how well she had Blackboard set up and how it had all of our course material on it. This was an exceptional class with an exceptional instructor! ------------------Even though she teaches the online course from Georgia, she was always available to help students whether it be just through email, Skype, or accessing our computer through remote access. ------------------Shes great! ------------------Tonia was very helpful and quick responding to emails and questions. -------------------
