Bass: Follow main form, outlining usually beats 1 and 3, sometimes 3+, sometimes just 1
Typically play root notes
During piano solo feel free to deliver more attack and melody lines interplaying with melody and piano solo
Guitar: Follow as written
Chord voicings are as written unless not notated
Can play chord stabs in B section or not, up to discretion
Performance Notes
Piano: Intro as written - gradualy crescendo and wait for guitar to cue
Comp openly, with full use of piano and expression during melody
In B section and vamp, extra phrases/notes can be played in between chord stabs, but these stabs/holds are crucial
Chord voicings however can be used discretionally. E7sus4 is only a guide
Guitar solo - outline chords minimally at first, growing busier
Piano solo - loudly, make use of chordal and full improv
Be ready to hold E7sus4 chord in vamp
At final chord, play all around keyboard in final small ascent/descent
Drums: Think as relaxed straight beat in 4, with lots of snare accents and expression
As dynamic picks up play more emphatically, with more dynamic
Feel is really a relaxed rock beat - but don't rock it. Think modern jazz.
Feel: modern jazz, think a more mellow Pat Metheny song, but not swung
Form: Intro
Head - A x2
B
Looping Vamp x4
Guitar solo - C
Piano Solo - D
Looping Vamp x4 - rall at end
Head - A x1 to coda
Coda - like B but with main progression repeated x6 before continuing
Repeating vamp ending - slow and pause before last chord - wait for cue
