L E A G U E

We see the Batcave. Then The Daily Planet. Then Keystone University, Atlantis, and Oa. We finally stop on Themyscira. Wonder Woman is in combat with other Amazons, training. She disarms one, blocks an attack, and parries another. She wipes sweat from her brow, and breathes heavily. Smiling, she and the other Amazons put away their swords, and walk out the training room. They say their farewells, and go to separate parts of the island. Diana walks past the gates of Tartarus. She looks at them, remembering the brutal fight against the god of war. Suddenly, they burst open. Demons fly out, and walking out of the darkness, slow and menacing, is Ares. Ares: Hello Diana. Its been awhile, hasnt it?

CUT TO: KEYSTONE Flash zooms through the streets of Keystone, smiling cockily. He passes a bank, with police cars in front of it. Barry comes to a stop, and zooms into the bank. Inside, men and women wearing dark, tight, black armor and badges raised their guns. Cops burst into the bank, and aimed at Flash. Flash: Yeah... this isnt the first time Ive fallen into a trap like this. CUT TO: GOTHAM The dead of night. Moonlight shines on a rooftop. A dark figure is standing there. Batman. He puts his hand to his cowl. Batman: Alfred, Ive tracked the last of Falcones men. His empire dies tonight. He stared at the warehouse, and looked up to see a bright green light in the sky. Hal Jordan flies down, and lands next to Batman. Hal: Batman? I thought that you were a myth. Although, I did think that aliens werent real... whatever. Batman: This is my turf. Hal: Yeah, about that. You see, this whole planet is my turf. Batman: I said that this is my turf. Now get out of here before you alert Falcones men.

Hal: Look, I can help you. You just have to- Batman: No! Now leave! Hal: Hey, just let me- Batman threw a punch at Hal, hitting his jaw. He landed two blows to Hals side, and kicked him in the stomach. Hal stumbled back, wiping blood from his mouth. Hal: You know how to throw a punch, Ill give you that. He created a giant, green fist, and swung at Batman. He rolled under the construct, and uppercut Hal. He was knocked to the floor. Batman lunged at him, fist raised. Hal created a shield. Bruces fist slammed into it. The construct almost instantly broke, and Hal was knocked down, blood leaking from his nose. Hal: How did you do that? Batman looked down at Hal, angry, and almost disappointed. Then, he heard a trigger pull back. Men clad in dark, black armor stood on surrounding rooftops, aiming at Hal and Batman. CUT TO: THEMYSCIRA Wonder Woman rushes towards Ares, arms raised. She lands one blow to his side, and is backhanded. She lands at the feet of an Amazon, whos shape morphs. Soon, she isa giant hunk of clay. Basil Karlo. Clayface. Diana rolls out of the way of his fist. She scrambled to her feet, and looked to the sky. A bright, yellow glow was getting closer to the island. Thaal Sinestro landed beside Clayface. He sent a bolt of yellow energy towards diana. She deflected it with her bracelets, and ran. Suddenly, a portal opened in front of her, and Mirror Master stepped out. She punched him in the jaw, grabbed his arm, and launched him back into the portal. She ran towards the shore. On the beach, Metallo surfaced. He grabbed Dianas shoulders. She kicked him, and punched the robot in the jaw. When Metallo went down, Ocean Master, wearing his classic mask, surfaced. He slammed the butt of his trident into Dianas stomach. He slashed her arm with one point, and punched her. Diana grabbed Orms trident, pulling it away from him. He punched her, taking back the trident, as Mirror Master appeared behind her. Metallo got up, and was joined by Clayface. Sinestro flew towards the crowd, as Ares approached. He laughed. Ares: Oh dont be surprised Diana. Dont tell me you didnt see this coming. He laughed, and raised his hand. Diana raised her arms. And then, Aquaman jumped out of the water, stabbing Ares in the chest. He pulled out his trident as Ares disappeared. He slashed Metallo, and Diana kicked him, sending the robot into the water. Sinestro fired a bolt of energy at Arthur, when Wonder Woman ran in front of him, sending the bolt back at the alien. She kicked Mirror Master, and Aquaman hit him with the butt of his trident. Clayface charged at the Atlantian, who sidestepped him. Clayface ran into the water, and started to dissipate. Then, Aquaman ran at Orm, hitting him in the jaw. Orm fell to the ground, and Arthur grabbed his half-brothers shoulders.

Arthur: How are you on land? Orm: This helmet. Ares gave it to me. Showed me true power. I trust that my plan is working? Tell me boy, how many creatures have attacked the city? Arthur: Youre coming with me. Ares reappeared, red eyes more fiery than usual. Ares: That, boy, is where you are wrong. Suddenly, helicopters flew over the island. Wonder Woman and Aquaman looked up as men and women in dark, tight armor dropped down. They were carrying assault rifles. Ares, Orm, and the other villains all disappeared, leaving Arthur and Diana with their hands up, and heads down. CUT TO: METROPOLIS A helicopter flies over the city, carrying all of the heroes. Batman: So, youre the other ones. Diana: What do mean: other ones? Flash: Um, I think he meant, other heroes. Hal: Yeah, besides this kid. Who invited him anyway? And wheres the Big Blue Boy Scout? Arthur: First, Im a king, I outrank you all. Second, they probably couldnt capture Superman. Flash: Please, Ive dealt with these guys before. Theyre from the government, and we all know how the Man of Tomorrow is. Either Supes had a change of heart, or they didnt try to get him. Batman: Either that, or hes already there. lets not forget that they have a supply of his kryptonite. Hal: Of what? Never mind. Shouldnt we just try to escape? Diana: Of course not, we should wait and see what they want. Arthur: But what about Orm? What about that Ares guy? What about the other ones? Batman: Other ones? What do you mean other ones? Arthur: Other... bad guys. There was this... clay thing, someone who could teleport, an alien, and a robot. Batman: Clayface. Flash: Mirror Master.

Hal: Sinestro. And the robot that Superman fought last month. Batman: Were they all together? Diana: All of them. It was bad. I would be dead if he didnt show up. Arthur: Call me Arthur. And what should we call all of you? Flash: Barry Allen. Hal: Hal Jordan. Diana: Princess Diana. Batman: You can call me... you can call me Batman. Flash: Party pooper. Pilot: Were approaching the base. Prepare for landing. CUT TO: UNDERGROUND The heroes are led through hallways. Soon, they enter a large room. The agents step out, as the doors close. Lights blast on. A bulky, black woman is standing in the room. Except for her, another agent, and the heroes, the room is empty. The woman is Amanda Waller. The other agent is James Jesse. Flash: Hey Jes, been awhile, hasnt it? James: Shut up! Waller: James, at least try to respect them. I mean, theyve done... so much. Batman: You dont like us, do you? Waller: What do you think? Last night, we were attacked, by villains that you all have faced. Arthur: You know about Orm? Waller: We know about everything. We have bases stationed in Atantis, Wayne Manor, all of it. Hal: Wayne Manor? Who did you say you were again? Batman: I think you can guess. Now what do you want with us?

Waller: We want you to fight this threat. Arthur: What about Superman? Waller: We tried to take him in. He refused. We need you to capture him before going after the other villains. Diana: Other villains? Waller: There are the real villains. Then there are the ones you fought. She walked away, leaving them to think about what she had said.

3 Hours Later

Bruce, Diana, Hal, and Arthur sit at a table. Except for Diana, their costumes are off. Bruce wears a suit. Hal has a T-shirt and jeans on, and Arthur wears a sweatshirt and sweatpants. Barry comes in, wearing a white collared shirt, and black dress pants. He puts glasses of water in front of everyone, and sits down. Hal: So, Arthur, how did you lose the hand? Arthur: They called him Nanaue. He was part shark, part human. I was fighting him, bit off my hand. I stabbed him in the throat. Diana: Thats nice. Bruce: Look, I need to get back to Gotham. Alfred, Selina, they need me. Barry: Selina? Looks like someones got a girlfriend. Bruce: Are you really that immature? We are fighting Superman, and the villains that we have all faced before, and all you can focus on is a woman that I know? Barry: I was trying to lighten the mood. Bruce: Well you failed. Barry: Sorry I tried! Bruce: You should be! Diana: Both of you, shut up! If we cant even have a drink together, how can we possibly fight together? We

will die! Barry: We should get rid of him! he doesnt even have powers! Bruce: Because running fast is amazing. Hal: Better than talking to fish. Arthur: I dont talk to fish. And if anyone gets close to that ring, youre dead. Diana: I cannot believe you! How immature are you? Our lives are at stake, and you are bickering like little girls! Barry: I cant believe that I actually harbored a crush on you! The other heroes all stare at Barry. Barry: Hey, shes hot. Diana slaps Barry, who rubs his cheek. Bruce: Look, Dianas right. We should focus on the mission. We need to know as much about these villains as we possibly can. Arthur? Arthur: Orm is dangerous. He killed my mother, father, friend, and guards. He has all of my powers, but is highly trained. Flash: Mirror Masters a wimp, but he has the power of surprise. Plus, he has a pretty quick draw. Hal: Sinestro feeds off of fear. Since you say that you are fear, Bats, you might want to stay away from him. He also has more training than me. Bruce: Clayface can change shape, size, voice, virtually anything about himself. Hes like Hal, but a lot more resistant. Diana: Ares is the most dangerous opponent any of you have faced. He can teleport, is a master combatant, almost killed me, and is a god. Anyone who challenges him is doomed. Well, any mortal. Like all of you, I suppose. Bruce: We arent just any mortal. When are we going after Superman anyways? Hal: We go after Superman tomorrow night. Thats what Waller told me. Of course, she isnt exactly trustworthy. Arthur: You didnt even know about her until today. Hal: You say that like you did. Besides, remember what she said? She obviously meant that we were the real villains.

Barry: Guys, listen to me. Ive dealt with these people before. Jessie really doesnt like heroes. Im guessing that Waller doesnt either. What happens when were done? Is she just gonna let us go? Of course not! Theyre psychopaths! They want us dead! Diana: We wont die Barry. None of us are going to let that happen. And if we do die, at least well die fighting. Hal: Really? Id like to die in my sleep, like my Grandpa. Not screaming, like the people in his car. Anyone? Nobody laughed, or even smiled. Arthur: That sounds like something Tom would say.

That Night

Batman moved through hallways. He ducked into a room, avoiding a guard detecting him. He threw a batarang. It landed on the floor next to the guard. He looked down, and back up, seeing Batmans fist before blacking out. Bruce continued down the halls, and pulled out a lockpick. He put it into a keyhole, and opened the door. Entering, he climbed up a ladder, avoiding another guard. He opened a filing cabinet, and pulled out six folders. And what exactly are you doing? Bruce turned around, and saw Amanda Waller. Batman: Youve been keeping records on the heroes? Waller: And you havent? Its business. Batman: Why? Why dont you like heroes? Waller: They cause as much damage as the villains. And did you ever see a destructive robot before Superman showed up? A giant glob of clay before you arrived in Gotham? Batman: But we stop them. Waller: You wouldn't have to if it werent for your carelessness. Batman: Look Waller, I dont like you, I dont trust you, and I dont- Waller: Harsh words towards someone you barely know. Besides, I dont care what you think of me, as long as you get the job done. Batman: What happens after we get the job done?

We hear a huge explosion. Waller looks like she had almost expected it. Waller: Get Wonder Woman, you two are going after Superman. The others will protect the base. She shows barely any emotion while saying this. Batman grimaces, and runs out of the room. Waller turns around, and walks across the platform. Barry, Arthur, and Hal jump in alarm. Arthur: Whats going on? Barry: Based on the alarm, Id say something bad. CUT TO: Batman grabs Dianas arm, pulling her away from a door. Diana: Whats going on? I cant get any help. Batman: Were going after Superman. Diana: What about the others? Batman: They can take care of themselves. Wallers gotten a jet ready. CUT TO: The three other heroes, now in costume, run into a large room. Flash: Okay, Ill look for the bad guys. I can move fastest. Hal, bust up some of the ceiling. We have to check every floor. Arthur... go do something. Hal: Come with me kid. Show you the ropes. Arthur: Seriously, stop treating me like a child. Im not. Hal: Lighten up. Lets go. Flash grins, and speeds into a different room, and into a portal. Mirror Master right hooks Flash, sending him into Clayface. The monster sucked Flash into his body. Clayface started to vibrate. MM: Sinestro, shield! A yellow dome started to form, but it was too late. Clayface exploded, covering the office. Flash sat in the middle of the blast, covered in clay, which was retreating from the area. He shook some off. Flash: That was fast. CUT TO: METROPOLIS Batman kneels on a LexCorp rooftop. Wonder Woman walks up from behind. Diana: So you really think hell be out? Batman: No. Diana: Then why arent we at the base? Helping?

Batman: Because we need Superman. Diana: Why? We beat these villains before. Batman: But now their together. And theyre complete. We need to be complete. Diana: People dont make a team complete. spirit does that. Heart does that. Batman: That doesnt make a team. What makes a team is skill, and efficiency. Not to mention a plan. Diana: Do we have one? Batman: No. Were scattered, and Ares caught us completely off guard. But if we find Superman, we get back, and we- A blast of air hits Batman. His face doesnt change. Batman: Superman! We just want to talk! Clark lands, staring at Batman. His eyes shift to Wonder Woman. He looks back to Batman. SM: You agreed to go with Waller? Diana: We didnt exactly agree. She forced us. But you have to come with us. SM: No. After the Brainiac situation, I learned more. I learned about Waller, and how she was experimenting on kryptonite and Brainiac. Shes corrupt, and Im not going with you. Diana looked to the ground, and threw a punch. Superman stumbled back, amazed at Dianas strength. SM: So this is how were going to do it. CUT TO: UNDERGROUND BASE Aquaman runs past agents. A huge wave bursts into the hall. Agents are knocked down by the water, but Arthur stays standing. Ocean Master walks down the hall, gripping his trident. Arthur charges, grasping his trident tighter and tighter. The weapons collide, both fighters pushing at each other. Arthur: Give up Orm! You wont win! Orm: Thats the plan! Orm pulls his trident away, making Arthur stumble forwards. Orm slams his trident into Arthur, who falls through a doorway. CUT TO: Metallo places his fingers into a computer socket. He shuts down all defenses, PA systems, and security cameras. The battle is practically won. CUT TO: METROPOLIS Superman right hooks Diana, crouches under a left hook from Batman. Superman uppercuts the Bat, and blasts heat vision at Diana. She deflects it with her bracelets sending the attack back at Superman. Batman slams his fists into Supermans sides, but does nothing to affect the Man of Steel. Batman rolls out of the way as Diana charges forwards, landing a blow to Superman. She kicks his chest, sending him off the building. Clark flies back up, unleashing his heat vision on Diana. She is too late to stop it, and is severely burned. Batman rushes to Wonder Woman, checking her pulse. She was fine. Batman stared at Superman,

The projectile sliced through KalEls skin. A green glow came from the batarang. SM: Kr-kryptonite. Then, Superman passed out. CUT TO: UNDERGROUND BASE Arthur has his fists raised. He blocks a punch, then another. He locks his trident with Orms, and kicks him. Orm stumbles back, and spins his trident around. Arthur doesnt let go, and tries to keep up. He fails. Arthur flies into a wall as Orm holds the boys trident in his other hand. Arthur gets up, and brushes off dust. Two tridents slam onto the wall, both right next to him. Arthur grabs his trident, and pulls it out of the wall. Arthur: Never let go of your weapon. Arthur charges at Orm, and slows down just in time to place his trident against Orms neck. Orm is backed against the wall, having given up. Orm: Do it. Arthur: Do what? Orm: Kill me. Arthur: No. You will face justice, but killing you will not do that. Orm: You want to bring me back to Atantis? I killed Jim last time I was there! I killed hundreds last time I was there! I nearly killed you last time I was there! So go ahead! Spare me! See your fear become reality again! Waller burst into the room, wielding a pistol. Waller: Arthur, bring him to me now! Orm: (under his breath) Maybe Ill kill Tom next. Arthurs eyes burned with fury. He pulled back his trident, and shoved it through Orms neck. Orm: Well... done. Orm was dead. Arthur retracted his trident, and stared at the corpse. Waller was screaming, but Arthur didnt listen. What had he done? Orm had won. Driven him to his level. CUT TO: Green Lantern flies upwards. Further, further, further, BAM!!! Hal collided with the ceiling, into the ground. A giant drill led the way, eventually leading to the surface. Metallo stood there. Stood almost 300 feet tall. Metallo: Ive absorbed the entire mainframe of the base! You cant stop us! We signify doom! We are the Legion of Doom! Hal: Yeah, sure. Hal forms a paper thin construct, and slips it under Metallos foot. He lifts it up, knocking Metallo over. CUT TO: The entire base starts to rumble.

CUT TO: James Jessie runs through a hallway, and bumps into Flash. Flash: We have to evacuate. James: To where? we cant exactly get hundreds of men out of here! Flash: So were going to give up? James: No, we just... give me a minute. Jessie pulls out a walkie talkie, and puts it up to his mouth. James: Waller, open up the portal. Set it to the Watchtower, now! Waller: Will do. CUT TO: METROPOLIS Superman wakes up to see green blasts on the horizon. SM: Ugh, my head. Diana: Batman, hes awake! SM: What happened? Batman: We knocked you out. I had the pleasure of removing the kryptonite batarang. SM: Whats going on over there? How long have I been out? Diana: Calm down. Batmans already called in his ship. We can explain on the way to the base. SM: Waller? Batman: Yeah. Look, we dont like her either. But ths is beyond Waller, so just deal with her. SM: Why not? Superman got up, and flew towards the blasts. The batwing landed on the rooftop, and Batman and Diana got in. CUT TO: OUTSIDE METROPOLIS Hal blasts Metallo, who has gotten up. Metallo swats at lasts like flies. Hal: This isnt working. Hal creates a giant hammer, slamming it into the robot. Metallo simply slams his palm into Hal. The Green Lantern crashes into the ground, bloody and bruised. He looks up, and sees Superman and the Batwing. Superman blasts Metallo with heat vision before crashing into him. Metallo stumbled back, and fell. The Batwing landed, along with Superman. CUT TO: Waller presses a button, and pulls a lever. A huge, purple portal opens. Waller: Move! Move!

Waller: Move! Move! She and most of the agents retreat into the portal as the base falls apart. Aquaman, Flash, and Green Lantern run in before Batman, Superman, and Wonder Woman. Before they can reach the portal, Ares appears. Diana: Ares, step aside! Ares: No! I am more powerful than ever before! Yo cannot stop me! You cannot stop HIM! The god swings at Diana, who grabs his arm. Superman punches Ares in the gut. Batman comes up from behind, stepping onto Supermans back, and jumps up, kicking Ares. The god retaliates by swinging Diana, knocking Superman down. Batman lands a blow to Ares side, and roundhouse kicks him. Ares stumbles back, and teleports away. SM: We should go. Agents burst through the other end of the portal. They had escaped the destruction. A 30-something man with white hair stormed towards Waller. What is the meaning of this? You didnt have authorized permission to use the- James: Faraday, nows not the best time. CUT TO: The heroes sit at a table, disappointed in themselves. Arthur is the first to speak. Arthur: I killed Orm. Flash: Why didnt you tell us before? Diana: Leave him be. Arthur has dealt with the matter enough. Flash: Fine. Forget I asked. Waller walks towards them, angry. Batman: Where are we? Waller: Its called the Watchtower. A giant space station. We spy on everyone up here. Diana: Does the public know? SM: Metropolis doesnt. Waller: Neither does the rest of the world. Look, I know you dont like me. But get over it, because you all need to man up and beat the Legion of Doom. Hal: Why us? Why did you bring us together? You dont trust us, you dont like us, and you have an army at your command. So whats the point? Waller: I tried. Thats the point. I didnt want to, but after each of you came and saved the day, we realized that the world was going to get that much more dangerous. Heroes start showing up, villains are going to match them. Towns are built, but they are invaded. Laws are made but they are broken. There will always be chaos to combat the order. This was tried before, this group project, in the 50s. It didnt work out. But we tried again. Arthur: Why are you using the past tense? Arent you still trying? Waller: No. Its over. The same result happened before.They failed a big mission. We had them disband. You couldnt protect the base, so youre finished. Batman: What? No! You sent Diana and I to recruit Superman when he already declined! If we had been

there- Waller: But you werent! Even if you were, wed still be in the same position we are now! The base would be destroyed, the Legion would know where we are, and you would all be defenseless! Flash: But they dont know where we are. This base isnt destroyed. And we are not defenseless. Waller: Were done here. You can each go back home tomorrow. SM: No. We were assigned a mission Waller. Were going to finish it. Waller: You have no say in the matter. If we see catch the slightest sign that youre contacting each other, we will kill you. Arthur: And where does that get you? Youll be powerless against the villains, and well be unable to stop them! Waller: We can defeat the Legion. Batman: Then why group us together in the first place? Waller: Because I tried to trust heroes. Waller stares at the team. Superman looks her dead in the eye. SM: You didnt give any of us a chance. You call us villains, but were not. You try to split us up when we did nothing to provoke you. Youre scared of us Waller. Dont be. Waller: I am not scared of you. Batman: You are. Admit it Waller, just get it over with, and let us track down Ares! Waller: No! As of now, you are disbanded! She storms off, leaving the heroes to their thoughts. CUT TO: ATLANTIS Much of the city is destroyed. Arthur wields his trident in the training room. He slashes at the dummies, letting all of his anger out. Stuffing floats through the water as Arthur destroys the mannequins. CUT TO: THE BATCAVE Batman stands at the edge of a platform. He looks down into a pit. CUT TO: METROPOLIS Superman floats in the air. He looks towards the destroyed bases former location. SM: Its not over. Diana: Really? Clark looks down, stunned at Dianas appearance, along with Green Lantern, and Flash. Superman lands on the rooftop.

Flash zooms off the rooftop, landing safely on the ground. He continues running as Green Lantern flies away. Diana looks at Superman, and jumps off the building, unharmed. CUT TO: THE WATCHTOWER Faraday approaches Waller, who is looking out at space. Faraday: Amanda, weve known each other for very long. Waller: Get to the point. Faraday: Youve been demoted. Waller: What? How? I started this branch, I cant be- Faraday: Youre head of Research and Development now. Im taking over your position. Waller: No. No, you cant! How? Faraday: The Board doesnt agree with you. Neither do I. Waller: You had them- Faraday: Amanda, you wanted to kill these people after they helped us. Waller: Theyre vigilantes. Faraday: I think that theyre a bit more than just vigilantes. And do you really want to argue with the Man of Steel? Waller stares at Faraday, angry beyond imagination. She walks away, fuming. CUT TO: Faraday stands before a long table, with men and women sitting down. So you told her? Faraday: Yes. She didnt take it well. You did the right thing telling us about her deal. Faraday: I know. I will be replacing her, right? Yes, we didnt lie. The paperwork will be ready in a few days. Faraday: Thank you Mr. Blairman. CUT TO: OUTSIDE METROPOLIS Flash searches through rock as Green Lantern lands next to him.

Hal: Found anything? Flash: Nada. This has turned into a huge mess. Hal: The base? Flash: This whole... whatever it was supposed to be. Were al kidnapped, Ares destroys the base, Waller says shell kill us if we meet up again, but we do, and nothing happens. Its a mess. Hal: Need to look under that huge pile of rubble? Flash: I could use a construct, yeah. Hal creates a giant shovel blade, and lifts up the rock, throwing it towards a far off field. Flash: What have we here? Barry zooms towards the cleared out area, digging through dirt. He pulls a large book from the ground. Hal: Whats in there? Flash: Give me a second to open it, okay? Barry does so, staring in horror at the pages. Flash: This has info on the Legion. A cut-and-paste photo of the villains together? Suicide Squad? Hal, Waller didnt want a team of heroes, she waned a team of villains! And she got one. Ares appears from behind, hands behind his back. Ares: Waller found us all, and took us in. Well, not me. The others. When she learned of Themiscara, she was able to send in an agent, Steve Trevor. Of course, he, nor anyone else, knew of the island. Waller was able to recruit me before I returned to the island and was sent to the Underworld. Sinestro and Ocean Master were contacted by myself after they were cast out. I managed to recruit them both. Of course, You managed to defeat my crew here, but I will not fall so easily. Flash ran at Ares, but was knocked aside by Ares before he could react. Hal creates a giant, thick wall, and sends it towards Ares. The god puts his arms in front of him, and is hit. He digs his heels into the ground, and stops the wall. Ares pushes against the wall even harder, and starts to move it. Ares: I am the God of War! War... brings... FEAR! Ares shoves the wall, sending it straight towards Hal. It hits him, knocking the Lantern out. CUT TO: GOTHAM Superman flies over the city, specifically Wayne Manor. He looks down, using X-ray vision to spot the Batcave. SM: Got ya. Clark smiles, and zooms down, crashing through the ground, tunneling straight into the cave. Batman is unsurprised, looking as if he was expecting Clark. Batman: What do you want? SM: What do we want? We want your help. Its not over just because Waller says it is. Batman: I have bigger problems.

Batman: I have bigger problems. SM: Like what? Some drug dealers across the street? Bruce, we need you. Batman: You dont need me Clark! Bruce nearly lunged out of the Batcomputers chair. Batman: Im a man, Im not special in any way, so why do need me? SM: Youve been thinking that the entire time, havent you? Batman: I have. Youre special, Clark. Everyone else is special, but Im only human! SM: So am I. Bruce, we all are. Diana and I, weve had our powers since we were born, but Barry? Hal? Arthur? They lived a life as a normal human being before these powers were just... thrust upon them. I know what happened to you, and I could never relate to that. I dont know anything about Kryptonians, I dont know who they were, what kind of person I would have been; good or bad. I know what you did. How you secluded yourself, how you disappeared after college and reappeared just before Batman shows up. Bruce, powers dont matter. You know more pain than anyone, and that alone is more important than flying, or super strength. Powers dont make a hero. What you do with what you have does. Batman: Lets get going then. CUT TO: Wonder Woman was already underground. Shuffling through rock and wires, Diana grows ever weaker. The air supply is low. A blinding flash of light appears in front of her. Ares has appeared. ARES "Don't fight it Diana. You can't win." DIANA "Where are the others?" ARES "Destroying everything you know." Ares swings at Diana, knocking her down. Diana quickly picks herself, and jabs at Ares' side. Showing no signs of fading, he picks Diana up by her head, and tosses her into a weak wall. It crashes down, covering Diana in dust. But still, she persists. Running at Ares, Diana pulls out a dagger. She sticks it into Ares' hip, then uppercutting him. As soon as she hits the ground, she performs a roundhouse kick, and punches Ares again, this time denting his armor. Ares stumbles back, his soul damaged by his armors' denting. He runs at Diana, punching her. He slams his fist into her stomach. He then grabs her shoulders, and headbuts the Amazonian. Letting go, Diana stumbles back, and falls down, weak. Ares looks down at her, and starts destroying walls all around. He teleports away, leaving the base to crumble onto his opponent. CUT TO; METROPOLIS-DAY The Batwing and Superman are flying side by side. CUT TO: UNDERGROUND BASE-DAY Diana wakes to slabs of rock and dust falling. She picks herself up, her whole body in pain, and runs. Her body starts to burn. The pain starts to overcome her. She clutches her stomach, and stumbles around before falling on the floor. Crying out in pain, Diana gets up, and begins to run again. She reaches a hangar as rocks blocks the door. Diana climbs into a large jet, and gets it ready for takeoff. The jet is pushed up to a 90 degree angle from the ground. Diana makes the finishing touches before flying upwards. AI

"Ferris Cloaking Device activating." The jet becomes completely invisible. As Diana flys away from the base, she makes a complete U-turn, going back for Hal and Barry. She flies lower, and opens the landing pad. CUT TO Hal gets up to the sound of the jet. He shakes Barry, waking him from unconsciousness. BARRY "Huh? What is it?" HAL "Get up. I think we're being rescued." The jet goes lower, still invisible, except for the landing pad. Hal grabs Barry, and flies upwards. They land on the landing pad. It retracts, and the jet pulls upwards, avoiding the massive explosion coming from what was the base. CUT TO Hal walks towards Diana, who is flying steadily. HAL "Where did you learn to fly?" DIANA "Ever heard of Steve Trevor?" HAL "That asshole? Who knew. Now move over." DIANA "I can fly." HAL "I'm a pilot. Oh and... what was it? Oh yeah! I tested this aircraft." Diana looks at him, and gets up, letting Hal fly. HAL "Ferris Cloaking Device down. Seek... Where are we going?" DIANA "Aegean Sea. I'll guide you from there." HAL "Hold up, I'm getting a new frequency. Hello?" BATMAN "Where are you going?" HAL "Aegean Sea. How'd you get this frequency?" BATMAN "WayneTech plane." Hal laughs to himself. HAL See you Batty. Seek: Aegean Sea."

CUT TO THEMYSCARA-NIGHT Amazons fight against the Injustice League. They have no luck. CUT TO The jet and Batwing land. Diana, Barry, Batman, Hal, and Superman stand together. BATMAN "We have to stop them here." SUPERMAN "Agreed. Diana, you know the island better than any of us. What's our best bet?" DIANA "We don't have one. Ares is all over the place. With those others, there's no guarantee on anything." FLASH "Uplifting. I can outrun them all. I could be a distraction and lead them to us all together." HAL "If I can trap Clayface in a construct, he won't be a factor anymore, but I can't join the battle." FLASH "We could rush in and storm them." BATMAN "That's suicide. Plus, is is our last chance. If we don't stop them here, Waller will stop us." SUPERMAN "Permanently." DIANA "Barry, you'll be bait, but we have to round them up. Then Hal can trap them and we'll contact Waller using the jet." FLASH "How do you know that we can contact Waller?" DIANA "I did some poking around while Hal was flying." SUPERMAN "Let's go." "Wait!" The heroes all turn their heads to see Arthur, with a literal army of Atlanteans wearing helmets similar to Orm's, behind him. ARTHUR "There's an army of demons out there too."

BATMAN "That's why you came back?" ARTHUR "The army was a last minute decision. I came because, well, like you said. We can't win apart." Diana smiles. Then they run. CUT TO Sinestro blasts at Amazonians, laughing. HAL "Hey Pink Face! Over here!" Sinestro turns around, and sees Hal a good 50 feet away. The human was holding a megaphone construct. It dissipates into the air. Sinestro runs forwards, jumping up, flying, and blasting towards Hal. Suddenly, Superman flies into Sinestro. The Man of Steel guides Sinestro to a large temple dedicated to Aphrodite. Superman sops, and they both float in the air. He reels his hand back, and hits Sinestro as hard as he can. The alien crashes through the temple wall, knocking it all down. CUT TO Arthur guides the Atlantians up a staircase. They arrive at the top of a colosseum. ARTHUR "Ready... Hold... NOW!!!" The Atlanteans raise their hands and speak their native language. The tide begins to change, and the waves become bigger. CUT TO Diana grabs a Devil-like demon, and punches it's throat, shoving her hand through it. Diana fights off another demon before Metallo appears behind her. She turns around, and punches the cyborg. He feels nothing, and grabs Diana's throat. Suddenly, a sharp, piercing noise is heard. A batarang in Metallo's back. It starts to beep rapidly, and scrambles Metallo's programming. He shuts off, releasing Diana. CUT TO Superman blasts heat vision at Clayface, hardening parts of him. Other parts are hit with freezing breath, cracking and falling off. But still they go back to normal temperature or grow back. Superman gives up on his more unique powers, and charges Clayface, punching the criminal. Nothing happens but Clark's arms getting either stuck or messy. Hal lands near Superman, and creates a giant box around Clayface, with one side open. Clark sends frost breath into that one hole. The construct dissipates, leaving only an icy prison around Clayface. CUT TO Flash throws a punch at Mirror Master, who ducks into a portal, appearing behind Flash. He then grabs Falsh, and throws him to the ground. Mirror Master gets down on the ground and punches Flash, again and again. Batman then tackles Mirror Master, and punches him. Batman pulls out a smoke pellet, and sends the Smoke into Mirror Master's mouth, knocking him out. CUT TO The Atlanteans continue their chant. The waves are now dangerous, the tide has consumed most of the beaches. Thunderstroms and dark clouds are overhead. there is no sign that the sun, or light itself, exists, except for the thunder. Then, one huge tsunami forms, rushing towards the island. It hits, drowning everything in water. When the skies clear, the demons are all dead. But the buildings, Atlanteans, and heroes are unharmed. CUT TO The heroes gather together, ready for the final battle against Ares. The god comes out of the shadows. He had been watching the battle the entire time. ARES "Call off your people Orin." Arthur looks at Ares, then his army. ARTHUR "Go." The Atlanteans walk away, murmuring to each other. ARES "You can still give up. It is an option." SUPERMAN "It's one that we aren't going to take." ARES "...Good." Superman is the first to run forwards. He strikes Ares' side. Flash then comes forwards, hitting Ares everywhere in a few seconds. Ares laughs as he swats Flash away, sending him into a stone building's wall. Batman throws a batarang at Ares' feet. It explodes as Batman jumps through the fire, kicking Ares in the face. Hal creates giant blocks, throwing them at Ares. The God kicks Batman in the stomach, punches Superman, and slams his fist into Arthur as he comes forwards. Arthur stumbles back, but runs forwards again. Ares takes another swing, but Arthur shoves his trident into Ares' arm. The god reels back, ripping the trident out of his skin. As he screams, Flash comes back. He goes straight for the stomach, rapidly hitting him, making small dents every few punches. Ares keeps screaming, now because of his armor. Diana runs forwards, and grabs Ares' arm, flipping him over her. Now on his back, Ares is attacked by Green Lantern. He creates a gauntlet around his hand, and slams his fist into Ares' helmet. Huge dents are being made. Ares screams in pain, and flails his arms, knocking Hal over. The god gets up, sniveling. Batman comes from behind, and wraps his arms around Ares' neck. He steers Ares into a building, and drops off. Wonder Woman runs forwards, and grabs Ares' breastplate, she rips the covering for the chest off, causing Ares to shriek in pain. Stumbling around blindly, tears start to fall from the inside of Ares' helmet. ARES "End it! End it! Superman runs forwards, jumps up, and slams his fist into the gap in Ares' helmet. His entire arm reaches into the darkness, as light bursts forwards. A blinding explosion of pure white light appears, and knocks Superman back. All that is left is ash and Ares' helmet. SUPERMAN "Did... did I kill him?" DIANA "No. He has just been sent... somewhere. Ares will return, but not for a long time." BATMAN "Good." The heroes all look at the black spot on the ground as the camera backs out. CUT TO

THE WATCHTOWER The heroes have gathered to celebrate. HAL "So Waller's gone? We can stay together you guys! Ha ha yes!" ARTHUR "What should we call ourselves?" FLASH "I've been thinking about it, and I think we should be called the Superfriends." DIANA "You aren't serious." BATMAN "He never is." SUPERMAN "You know what I think would fit? The Justice League." FARADAY "You can't." BATMAN "What?" FARADAY "It was Miss Waller's order while director. I'm sorry, but it was agreed to. I'm afraid I cannot reverse it." FLASH "So much for the Superfriends." FARADAY "But they also agreed that you would come back. This was the first step to destruction of national, hell, of worldwide security." CUT TO Batman sits alone in the Batcave. FARADAY "So you will go your separate ways." CUT TO Wonder Woman looks over a devastated Themyscara. FARADAY "You will forget this ever happened. CUT TO Barry hangs his suit in Carol's apartment. FARADAY "And you'll take a break." CUT TO Hal flies over Oa. FARADAY
