Simulation software for multi-domain designs in automotive, aerospace, power electronics, and electric drive systems
CONCEPT TO REALITY...FASTER
v 6.0
SIMPLORER is a new paradigm for the virtual prototyping of large-scale mechatronic, power electronic, and electromechanical systems. With VHDL-AMS and other standard modeling languages, SIMPLORER is the easiest, most accurate, and most flexible tool available today.
SIMPLORER is ideal for automotive, aerospace, and power electronics engineers who routinely blend analog, digital, and mixed-signal electronics with mechanics, electromechanical components, hydraulics, and other technologies within a single system. Multi-Domain SIMPLORERs unprecedented co-simulation capability is the key to creating an accurate virtual prototype of a multi-domain system. Depending on the simulation target, components can be described as behavioral or physical models using one or any combination of SIMPLORERs description languages. This eliminates the error-prone mathematical transformations and model analogies required by single-language simulation tools. SIMPLORER offers four built-in simulators, each representing a specialized modeling language: VHDL-AMS CIRCUITS BLOCK DIAGRAMS STATE MACHINES For simulations requiring the highest level of fidelity, SIMPLORER provides a unique link to FEA-based models. Engineers can obtain models of electromechanical components directly from Ansofts electromagnetic simulation tools (Maxwell , PExprt, or RMxprt) and import them into SIMPLORER. Components, such as solenoids, sensors, electric machines, and transformers, which have long been the source of inaccuracy in system simulations, can be precisely modeled. Multi-Level SIMPLORER allows the integration of proprietary C/C++ programs, MATLAB /Simulink , Mathcad , and other specialized programs, preserving legacy modeling and extending SIMPLORERs capabilities. The direct integration of models in their native environment avoids model translations, saves design time, and allows communication and model exchange across departments and between suppliers and OEMs. Ansoft provides a multitude of component libraries for the convenience of SIMPLORER users. Libraries of generic and parameterized component models are available to quickly create realistic simulations. As a service to customers, Ansoft is constantly developing new model libraries that can be downloaded from http://model.simplorer.com. SPICE models, frequently available from supplier Web pages, also can easily be integrated. Multi-Organizational SIMPLORERs adherence to industrystandard modeling languages, including VHDL-AMS, SPICE, and C/C++, enables the easy exchange of models between separate engineering groups. This capability is crucial for allowing suppliers and OEMs to work more closely without duplicating simulation efforts and for eliminating the need to produce physical prototypes.
