EXECUTIVE SUMMARY Objective: The aim of this study was To promote the products of Futura Doors among new customers (builders) in the three cities of Pune, Mumbai and Bangalore To assess the customer satisfaction with their current supplier. Methodology and Procedure: The following tasks were carried out: Identifying new housing and apartment builders Collecting contact information about them Sending the company brochures to apprise them of the products of Futura Doors Preparing a questionnaire for survey Analyzing the data Non-probability judgemental sampling method was used and a sample size of 150 was taken. Primary data was collected personally from builders based in Pune through personal interview and questionnaire method and through telephone and e-mail from builders based in the other cities. Analysis led to the

identification of new buyers in these sectors and determination of the problems they were facing with their current product. After this they were invited to visit the company sites to witness the process and technology used in the production process of Futura Doors. In addition, the buyers were contacted personally or telephonically and apprised about the advantages and various schemes offered. INTRODUCTION

Housing is one of the large and fast growing parts of the construction industry and hence door for homes is also a fast growing market segment. Doors for all residential applications are a viable and promising market for infrastructure. Doors are also used for industrial applications in factories for shop floor offices, cold storage etc. Futura Doors, established in the year 2000, has been manufacturing, exporting, importing and supplying stylish wooden doors and interior doors made of high quality materials. It has acquired specialization in making fiber glass re-enforced plastic doors and door frames. These doors find multifarious uses in all kinds of buildings like hospitals, hotels, industrial structures, schools, colleges, hostels commercial complexes and residential projects. This report explores various factors affecting the door market - with respect to various applications and regional considerations. METHODOLOGY AND RESEARCH DESIGN

The main focus of the research design and the Market research exercise was to fulfill the aim of the study and ensure that the data collected was relevant to the objectives. The sampling plan involved convenience sampling as it is based on the convenience of the researcher who selects the sample. Respondents in the sample were included merely on account of their availability and on the fact that they owned a 100cc motorbike. A pilot survey was done for pre-testing questionnaire and modifications were incorporated. The data was collected through a structured questionnaire. Finally, the respondents were personally interviewed and the responses were recorded.
