NEBOSH Diplomas are globally recognised qualifications aimed at professional health and safety advisors and environmental practitioners.
Is this qualification recognised? On successful completion of the qualification, the Diploma holder may apply for Graduate membership (Grad IOSH) of the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH), (www.iosh.co.uk). This qualification is also accepted by the International Institute of Risk and Safety Management (www.iirsm.org) as meeting their requirements for full membership (MIIRSM). United Kingdom professional health and safety bodies have a growing international reputation with a number of international branches being formed. Holders of this qualification may use the designatory letters IDipNEBOSH after their name. Course Duration 6 weeks spread over one year.

About the course This qualification is specifically designed for people with safety responsibility in the oil and gas industry. The qualification focuses on international standards and management systems, enabling students to effectively discharge workplace safety responsibilities both onshore and offshore. The Certificate also highlights the importance of process safety management in the oil and gas industry. There are no specific entry requirements for this qualification, however it is highly recommended that students have an existing underpinning knowledge of safety issues or have completed a NEBOSH Certificate level qualification previously. NEBOSH Health and Safety at Work
A perfect introduction to health and safety. The qualification is designed for individuals working to international standards. It provides participants with a broad overview on health & safety in the work environment. This qualification is an ideal first step towards the NEBOSHs International General Certificate. Who should attend this course? All individuals who wish to have a basic knowledge in health & safety. What does the course cover? It covers risk assessments and ways to control common workplace hazards such as fire, lifting and carrying, work equipment, electrical safety, hazardous substances and transport. The syllabus is divided into 2 units (1) Workplace safety foundations (2) Risk assessment activity Course duration and how is the course assessed? 3 days plus a 45 minutes multiple choice examination and a two hour practical risk assessment which tests the participants ability to put into practice the knowledge gained during the course. A qualification parchment will be awarded to all successful students.

NEBOSH International General Certificate
The NEBOSH International General Certificate in Occupational Safety and Health is a globally recognised health and safety qualification. Who should attend this course? Managers, supervisors and employees based outside the UK who require a broad knowledge and understanding of health and safety principles and practices. The qualification focuses on international standards and management systems, enabling candidates to effectively discharge workplace health and safety responsibilities in any employment sector, in all parts of the world. The NEBOSH International General Certificate is also suitable for those embarking on a career in health and safety, providing a sound basis for progression on to the NEBOSH International Diploma. Assessment There are two written examinations Paper 1 Management of Health & Safety; Paper 2 Controlling Workplace Hazards plus a workplace-based practical assignment.

Practical Courses
Fire and Confined Space
Fire fighting This one day program is a combination of theory and practical training on fire prevention and fire fighting techniques. The course will take the participants through a range of fire related topics; principles of fire triangle, location of fire fighting equipment and escape routes, fire chemistry and ignition sources, fire hazards, flammable materials and fire spread, need for vigilance and readiness for emergency response, fire/smoke detection and UAE - Dubai alarm systems, portable fire fighting equipment, PPE & RPE. The afternoon practical session includes using hand-held firefighting equipment on real fires. Every participant takes part in using 15 Jan the extinguishers.

Live Fire Drill Exercise This two day comprehensive training includes the following subject area: Correct use of breathing apparatus, PPE, general vehicle safety, communications, fire classification identification and use of firefighting media and its application, rescue operation, working in smoke, post incident considerations and report writing. This training includes both theory and practical demonstration exercises and debriefs with a strong emphasis on team participation, first responder and second responder.

Confined Space Entry And Rescue This two day course is physical and will be probably more physical than the delegate encounters in their normal daily workplace. Participants will be taught on the use of the tripod/quadpod plus either winch or retractable retrievable fall arrest block as a means of access to confined spaces, plus rescue and emergency evacuation from either a horizontal or vertical confined space. This program is only recommended for participants who are physically fit and healthy.

Kitchen Fire Safety This one day course is designed to demonstrate the causes UAE - Dubai of commercial and 20 Feb domestic kitchen fire and techniques to 11 Apr prevent and control the fire. E-Learning provides you with the flexibility to learn in your own time and at your own pace. Videos, audio and photographs are easily accessible which aid learning. E-Learning students for NEBOSH International General Certificate course are welcome to attend two day revision classes in Dubai at no extra cost. The programs are offered in association with RMS Publishing and ACT Associates. All the programs are divided into individual Elements to mirror the NEBOSH/IOSH syllabus and each element have its own index, which references the syllabus content headings. Users are easily able to move between the different elements with the buttons being clearly labeled and visible; they may also go back over the pages of information for further reference.
