No of starts

:a)The motor shall be capable of three equally spaced starts in an hour, the motor initially being at a temperature not exceeding the rated load operating temperature. b) The motor shall be capable of two starts in succession with coasting to rest between starts and the motor initially at rated operating temperature.

Min. Voltage permissible

: 80 % rated voltage for starting.

Starting Current.

: Motor shall be designed for direct on line starting at full voltage. Locked rotor current of the HT motors rated 1500 kW and below shall be limited to 600% (inclusive of 20% tolerance) of the full load current of the motors and motor rated above 1500 kW shall be limited to 450% (inclusive of

20% tolerance) of full load current of the motor. Locked rotor current of the LV motor shall not exceed 600% of full load current inclusive of 20% tolerance.

Class of insulation .

: All motors shall have class F insulation but limited to class B temperature rise

Sp. Heater Duty

: Reqd. for motors of 30 KW & above (supply 240V, 50Hz, 1phase) : Continuous S1 They shall also be suitable for long period of inactivity. (Except for MOVs)

Noise Level

: The noise level shall not exceed 85 db (A) at 1.0 meters from the motor. (R-1)

Vibration :

The maximum double amplitude vibrations for motors up to 1500 rpm shall be 25 microns and 15 microns up to 3000 rpm. For 415V motors, maximum double amplitude vibrations up to 1500 rpm shall be 40 microns and 15 microns up to 3000 rpm.

Terminal box

: Standard, at LHS from NDE

Terminal box shall be capable of being turned 360 Deg. in approved. steps of 90 Deg., unless otherwise

The terminal box shall be split type with removable cover with access to connections and shall have the same degree of protection as motor. Terminals shall be stud or lead wire type, substantially constructed and thoroughly insulated from the frame The terminals shall be clearly identified by phase markings, with corresponding direction of rotation marked on the non-driving end of the motor The terminal box shall be capable of withstanding maximum system fault current for a duration of 0.25 sec. For 6600V motor, the terminal box shall be phasesegregated type. The neutral leads shall be brought out in a separate terminal box (not necessarily phase segregated type) with shorting links for star connection. Cable boxes of all 6.6 kV motors shall be phase segregated & shall be provided with quick disconnecting type terminal connectors to facilitate easy disconnection and removal of the motors without requiring unsealing or otherwise disturbing the external cable connections and leaving the phase segregated terminal box intact. Power cable box, Instrumentation cable box and accessory cable box shall have two numbers for grounding pads. Separate terminal boxes for power, RTD, space heater as applicable

Accessories

: 1) All 6600V motors shall be provided with six (6) Duplex type winding temperature detectors, two (2) per phase. 2) 6600V motor bearing shall be provided with duplex type temperature detectors. 3) The temperature detector mentioned above shall be resistance type, 3 wire, platinum wound, 100 Ohms at 0 Deg.C. 4) For motor below 30kW the motor winding shall be suitable for continuous heating from 24V 1 ph. 50Hz supply 5) Provision for vibration sensors to be given for HT motor
bearings. ( Threads size for instalation of vibration sensor will be inform later)

6) Dial type local indicator with alarm contacts shall be provided for A) 6600V motor bearing temperature. B) Hot and cold air temperature of the closed air circuit for CACA motor Cable entry Finish : Bottom entry : Motor including fan shall be painted with corrosion

proof paints as per IS-5.


Direction of rotation : Bi-directional for LT and Fan HT motors.

Pump motor subject to reverse rotation shall be designed to withstand the stresses encountered when starting with non-energized shaft rotating at 125% rated speed in reverse direction
Performance Inspection : As per IS: 325 : By client / TBW. (Type / Routine; vendor to submit QAP for inspection)

NOTES: -

1) All LT motors shall be of energy efficient type (Eff-1) as per IS12615:2004. All other motors ( LT as well as HT) beyond the purview of IS 12615:2004 shall be of higher efficiency. (R-1) 2) Motor frame sizes with ratings shall be selected as per relevant IEC standard. Any deviation shall be highlighted by vendor & approval shall be taken before manufacturing of the motors. 3) Motors shall comply to customers specifications: 10A07-SPC-M-0001,Vol-2_Section-4 Part-1 4) The motor shall be capable of operating satisfactorily at full load for 5 minutes without injurious heating with 75% rated voltage at motor terminals. 5) Motors shall be capable of starting and accelerating with applicable method without exceeding permissible temperature rise between 80% to 110% of rated voltage. 6) All motors shall be capable of withstanding 60% overload for 10 seconds after achieving full operating temperature. 7) Motor shall be suitable to run at 75% of rated voltage for 5 minutes. 8) Motor shall be suitable for re-starting against full out of phase residual voltage in motor windings. 9) All motors shall be designed to withstand at least 5% harmonics in the supply voltage
