CPU2 Hints
Situation: On CPU2 the ESA service keep restarting
(because it tries to login into the TWP_admin). Manuel login in the
TWP_Admin is not possible, too.
3 known reasons why the login-in in TWP would not possible:
TimeZone or Time is not set correctly (either on CPU2 or on the host PC)
Solution: Correct the timezone + date/time
Factory problem (serie number below 100),
How to find: It is not possible to open the shared directory in C:\Program
Files\TWS3\TWS_Services\TWS_GenericServices

RTP Relay
Having Routers, Firewalls, DMZ, VPN, etc. in a network might
make the VoIP routing quite complicated. In such cases the CS will
support the indirect switching for VoIP connections.
Indirect switching means, that the RTP data are relayed via the
communication server.
A GSM terminal (with extended feature set) calling in over SIP
trunk is already switched indirectly (to be able to receive the DTMF
commands).
Now the RTP relay (indirect switching) is available not only for the
GSM terminals but also for any other VoIP endpoint in a
connection.
RTP media stream can be relayed
via the CS from one of the following

Firmware server for Aastra SIP
The firmware for the Aastra SIP terminals gets bigger and bigger.
For the 6735i and 6737i it is 18MB each and for the Aastra 8000i it
is already over 200MB. It is clearly impractical to store this on the
CS, especially as many customers do not have these phones.
The solution is to have an external storage for all Aastra SIP
firmware.

an external server.
In a first solution the server has to be configured manually.
It is planned for the future to have an Aastra wide HTTPS server. The
address of this server will be preconfigured in the PBX. This address will

The PBX supports external numbering plan definitions in order to
process outgoing calls via SIP trunks faster without any delay.
Without such definition a SIP trunk waits 4 seconds if no # is
included as last digit in the call number.

are part of a closed numbering plan in a given country

Each number or number representation requires a new line in the ENP file
1. Each line has to start with a digit or * or #
2. A line can contain only *, #, digits, x, X and .
3. The characters x or X represent a single digit
4. Invalid lines in the file will be ignored
5. One line shall not exceed 20 characters
6. Up to 100 lines are allowed

1. The characters * and # are only accepted when the line starts with * or #

The ENP files of the different

package of the CS software.

External ftp server and update
In the following slides you find the description of how to setup the Aastra
BluStar 8000i to be used with the Aastra 400 CS of Release 1.2.
When the integration of the external firmware server completed this will
be much more easy.

Start an external ftp server (FTPserverLite)
Create anonymous account, select a home directory and allow Download

Put firmware folder (e.g.: sfour-4.0.2-pre-1030@2011.11.04.0602) in this
home directory.

If you have Aastra BluStar 8000i terminals with old software (< RC 4.0.x),
put an aastra.cfg file in the home directory with following content:

Video Licence
Each Aastra BluStar 8000i requires both, an Aastra Sip and an
Aastra Video licenses.
These licences are available
+1 Aastra Video terminal
+20 Aastra Video terminals
+50 Aastra Video terminals for Aastra BluStar 8000i phones
For standard SIP-Video-Phones a video licences is necessary as
well:
+1 Video terminal for standard (3

Alarming on Aastra 630d
"Longclick 3" directly opens the alarm-menu
There is a menu "sensor alarms permanently"
[activate/deactivate].
But only visible to the user, if it previously has
been permitted in the "alarm features" by the
admin (with PIN).
The menu "sensor alarms temporary"
[activate/deactivate]
now allows a maximum time of 5 hours
(4:59.59 instead of 0.59.59).
These settings do not change, when the handset
is put in/out of the charging bay
