LESSON PLAN Name of class: 4 Daisy Year: 4 Date: 25th February 2013 Time: 8.00am-9.

00am Duration: One hour (60mintutes) No. of students: 40 pupils Language of proficiency: Average Theme: World of Self / Personal Relationships Topic: What do you like? Lesson summary: At first, teacher pastes five pictures on the whiteboard. Teacher asks the pupils the following questions regarding the pictures shown. Next, teacher shows them two sets of drill tables. Teacher reads once and the pupils repeat after the teacher. Teacher distributes a survey form to each of the pupils. After that, teacher asks them to fill in their name in the first column and tick for the activities they like and cross for the activities they dislike on the survey form. Then, teacher requires some pupils to present orally the result (survey) they get from their friends. The pupils must tell the class about his/her name and he/she likes and dislikes doing first before telling the class about his/her friends. At last, teacher recites and demonstrates a jazz chant entitled Hobbies to the pupils. Pupils are required to follow and recite the jazz chant after the teacher. Teacher highlights the pupils the moral values learned from the lesson. Learning outcomes: 1.2 Listen to and repeat accurately the correct pronunciation of words, and the correct intonation and word stresses in phrases, expressions and sentences. 2.1 Speak clearly by pronouncing words accurately. 2.2 Ask questions politely to obtain information and clarification. 4.4 Complete texts with the missing word, phrase or sentence. Teacher teaches the pupils on how to question his/her friends about what she or he likes in a correct way. Teacher also teaches the pupils on how to answer the question in a correct form of sentence. Teacher reads once and the pupils repeat after the teacher. Teacher practices the first set of drill table with the pupils. Teacher practices the second set of drill table on how to question their friends about what does the other person like and dislike. Teacher also practices with the pupils on how to answer the question in a correct form without grammatical mistakes.

Activity 2 (20 minutes)
