These persons may be at risk when watching certain televised images or playing certain video games. This phenomenon can arise even when the individual concerned has no medical history of such a reaction or has never suffered an epileptic fit. If you or a member of your family have ever displayed symptoms linked to epilepsy (fits or loss of consciousness) brought about by electronic simulations, you are strongly recommended to seek medical advice before using this product. We would advise parents to closely supervise their children when they are playing video games. In the event that you or your children do display any of the following symptoms: dizziness, vision problems, contraction of eyes or muscles, loss of consciousness, problems of orientation, spasms or convulsions; you should stop playing IMMEDIATELY and seek medical advice.

5. Main Menu
The main menu gives you the following options: Exhibition World Tour Training Options Player editor Quit

First, you select the type of championship you wish to compete in: Mens or Womens. To reload a championship you have already begun and previously saved on your hard disc, simply click on "Load a season" After choosing your championship mode, you should decide on the number of teams. First choose the number of human players taking part in the championship (up to 4). The next screen asks you to select your team line-ups. Players can play together in one team or take one team each. You choose the nationality of each team, with AI players making up the rest of those teams containing only 1 human player. The next screen asks you to choose the players for each team. Choose one of the available players or one you have created with the editor. One of the advantages of the World Tour mode is the opportunity to improve a player you created with the player editor, thanks to the experience points that are awarded at the end of each tournament. Use these points to improve the features of your players, your goal being to make the perfect player! Only players you have created yourself can improve; the official FIBV players retain their initial features throughout the game. Next, the World Tour serves up your first tournament. For each tournament, the "Main Draw" window displays the draw. Use the directional keys to scroll up and down the draw and press Enter to launch the next match in the tournament. Beach Volleyball tournaments follow the principle of double knock-out. This means that losers play off against each other for a second chance to stay in the tournament.

5.1 Exhibition
In exhibition mode you play a friendly match of Beach Volleyball. You start by choosing the number of human players (up to four players - see Options, Game commands). On the next screen you select your team formation. To make changes, move the cursor onto one of the players and press on the CTRL (right) key, move the cursor to the new position and press again on the CTRL (right) key to place the player there. The following screen lets you choose your team line-up. You can select a player that you have created with your player editor: these players are found at the bottom of the list (see "Player Editor"). On the next screen youll find all the venues where matches can be played: choose the location using the keys. Day and night matches can be played at each venue: use the to choose between day and night. Validate and play!! Venues that are inaccessible at the start will be unlocked as you win tournaments in World Tour mode.

5.3 Training
The training mode is designed to help you improve your game and hone your tactics. You choose your teams formation and line-up as explained above (training mode does not feature point counting). The training court is located on the beach, and cannot be selected. Beach Volleyball 5

6. Playing the Game The Commands

6.1 Serving
You can choose 3 types of serve: normal jump underarm Press on the key that corresponds to your choice of serve. The longer you hold down the key, the harder your serve (but take care if its too hard it will go straight into the net!). Use the directional keys to direct your serve.

arm outstretched and the smash. As a result, you must press down the key before the ball arrives. If you are too late, the smash becomes impossible and your player sends the ball back over the net as a pass. Dont forget to make use of the tactical smash, whereby your player gives the ball a dipping trajectory, making your opponents attempts to block the ball more difficult (the downside to this shot is that it has a longer trajectory and gives your opponents teammates more time to get to the ball).

6.5 Blocking
Stand next to the net and press the block key at the right moment. You can also ask your player to perform a sideways blocking movement by pressing on the / keys during the block.

6.2 Receiving
To receive an opponents smash or pass, use your directional keys to position your player under the ball (without being too precise, because youll end up being too late), then press on button 1 (Shift right) to parry the ball, keeping the button down throughout the time it takes to parry the ball. The most important thing to remember is that you dont need to be positioned at the precise spot where the ball lands. Youre better off reacting quickly than trying to get to just the right spot and getting there too late.

7. Rules of Beach Volleyball

Here is a brief summary of the rules of Beach Volleyball: 2 teams of 2 players play each other on a court. The match is played in one set. The winner is the first team to reach 15 points with a minimum 2 point lead, up to a maximum of 17 points. Teams change ends every 5 points. Points are only scored by serving teams. If a serving team loses a rally it hands over service, but does not lose a point. If the ball touches the net or goes out during a service, service goes to the opposing team. Each team can touch the ball three times in its own half. The team must pass the ball back over the net with its third touch.
